Mining Glitch?

I've been googling up a storm but I can't seem to find an answer to this problem.

I recently started up a new character on my (modded) copy of Skyrim. Aaaand every time I try to mine something, my character just mines in a loop forever, and never gets any ore. I've run into four iron ore veins so far (one in Bleak Falls Barrow and I can't exactly remember the locations of the other 3, but they weren't in any dungeons) and they've all done the exact same thing.

I read that you can equip your pickaxe in one hand and just swing at the vein and get the ore that way, but I have no idea how outdated/accurate that information actually is and either way it did nothing for me.

The only mod I have that claims to affect mining is the mining makes noise plugin of the Traps Make Noise mod from the nexus.

This isn't the first time I've run into this problem, but I can't remember for the life of me how to fix it, and it's never persisted for more than 1-2 ore veins in the lower level parts of the game.

I also have yet to test if it's just iron that's bugged or if it's all ore, but I'm assuming it's all ore.

EDIT- Yep, it's all ore and not just iron. I found an orichalum vein near Ivarstead that presented the same problem as all the iron.

Either way I've rambled for long enough and I'm wondering if anyone has any idea what could be causing this or if there's some way to fix this?

Not sure about console commands.

Have you tried just disabling (unchecking) all your mods? Just fire up the save and try to mine an ore vein you know is bugged. DONT overwrite any saves with your mods disabled. Don't load autosave either if it happens to autosave while your doing this.

See what happens. If you successfully mine ore then it's likely a mod.

Try manual mining : swing pick axe like weapon at the ore vein?

I just got finished trying this, and near as I can tell it really isn't any mod. ):

EDIT- In hindsight I thought it might have had something to do with Convenient Horses or maybe Hunterborn but I guess not. :') A friend of mine also suggested it could have been Deadly Dragons because apparently that mod messed with her Hearthfire content. But, no, I tried poking around mod-free and nothing worked.

Like I said in the original post I tried that already, and it doesn't work. I've also tried disabling/enabling the veins via the console. Entered/exited the area, fast traveled, waited, the works. No good!

Well I feel like a total idiot because it looks like Mining Makes Noise was the culprit after all. I'd tried unchecking it (along with all of my other mods, later on) and it made no difference. But after uninstalling it completely and going back in, the vein I'd been testing was still bugged, but the other two veins further in the mine worked just fine. I'll see if the bug is persisting with other veins and if that was a fluke or not but I'm pretty sure this has been solved.

And now I feel like a jerk for wasting peoples' times. :') Sorry!! Hopefully this is the end of this particular mess.
