Minor details you've noticed so far that you like

I'm really liking the smaller details of the game, from the interface to the tiny world details
e.g.
- The message that comes up when you have discovered a location, it looks slick, like Fallout 3's just a little better.
- How plants disappear or change their appearance when you pick them (apparantly)
- The way chests open when you open them
- How you can see all the details of every item up close

I liked the chest opening part, because little animations like that really make interacting with things seem cool. I also like the random animals added like hawks, chickens, foxes, butterflies, etc.

When I was watching a video of someone playing the demo, and the player entered Riverwood, a mother and her son were talking about dragons. The son eventually told the mother to stop acting crazy. I'm not sure if it was scripted or a part of the AI.

To get to the point, I am going to love going to a city or town and hearing about things that I do in the world.

I also love the weight your character seems to be carrying now. No more floating when watching your character move about in third-person. The combat also seems to also have more weight to it.

Another little detail I love is the broken trees and logs. It will make hunting a lot more fun to see things like this in a forest.

In the recent screenie of the Nord Woman it appears that her necklace actually fits the shape of her body. Hopefully, amulets floating in the air around necks will be a thing of the past.

The music. From the ambient music that plays softly in the background to the epic battle music (like the music that plays when todd fights the dragons). It's my favorite feature and for me, music really makes a difference in my gaming experience. Fallout would have been 10 times more enjoyable if it had more variety in its music. Bethesda has made sure to add variance and I am so so pleased! :)

Oh! And the quality of the music too. That's also what I notice in skyrim. High quality stuff!

I agree the music definately is a huge factor on the experience of the game and I'm impressed from what I've heard so far.

The ambient sound effects. I mean, wow! You could listen to that and get a good night's sleep.

Not really a minor detail.. but the landscape in general looks amazing.. I can't wait to run and jump and frolic across the land. Exploring the off the beaten path areas.
and like chunkyman pointed out, there will be non-aggressive animals that we can hunt, find or ignore.. they'll add immensely to the world in general. it's really not a lot of fun if everything you see attacks you.
I think the character models are also fantastic. Comparing the new with the old there has been an amazing change. I remember how difficult it was for me to choose a head in morrowind because they were all just so ugly. And although oblivions were a little better it took a lot of work to make a pretty or cool looking face.

I was really excited when I heard about how they added more traps in dungeons, it should really help to add a new layer to the experience, that and the more complex level designs should help make them less linear.

Equipment one can find that has benefits for specific skills (like the hide armor of minor conjuring)

And BAR FIGHTS!!!11!!1! :hugs:
