Minutemen and BOS after main story

Post » Fri Jan 15, 2016 10:13 pm

So I finished the game with the minutemen. I did not do any quests for the railroad other than meeting them. I did a few quests with the BOS but not far enough to join them. After I sided with the minutemen, the institute attacked the castle. I thought the BOS would be hostile and attack but after the main story I went back to the BOS police station and they gave me and still give me small missions like "cleansing the commonwealth" and the other one with the lady. When I go up to Paladin and click to talk to him he just walks away. Is that normal? Is it because I didn't get to the quest for him to ask me to join? So my question is, since the BOS is friendly to me even though I didn't side with them, can I still get on the Prydwen somehow? I did not know they would still be friendly and after reading all the spoilers, they said that the BOS would be an enemy. I'm glad they are friendly because I want to do more missions with them. Is it possible or will they just keep giving me the small ones. And weren't they the ones that were supposed to attack the castle (not complaining that they didn't lol). I have a bunch of settlements with the minutemen so I thought if they haven't attacked the BOS by now that they wouldn't but I have no idea. Like I said I would like to still do missions with them if possible.

Thank you for any feedback!

I'm going to assume that the reason why Paladin Danse won't do much with you is that you didn't get far enough in the BoS quests to unlock him as an actual companion. Not sure about the rest of your questions, unfortunately, as I have gotten far into the BoS quests on each of my characters (but haven't beaten the game yet on either).

You don't get Danse as a companion until you join the BoS and talk to Maxson and Danse on the Prydwen (IIRC).

I just finished the game siding with the Minutemen, but I kept the RR and BOS alive and well. The only one that won't talk to me from BOS is Maxson. Danse and everyone else praised me for using the MM to take out the Institute. Before I completed the game, I kept all side missions from BOS open so I could go back afterwards and complete the missions.

Thank you everyone for the responses! Ill keep doing the side missions for fun. For some reason I was expecting some sort of attack from the other factions. Glad they're still cool lol

Yea, the Minutemen ending is the neutral option and some say the best one, since you are still in good standing with the 3 main factions of the Commonwealth. The Prydwen is still accessible and if you haven't been there yet, just head to the Boston Airport and climb into the Vertibird that will take you up there. After that it's a fast travel point. :)

Did you clear Arkjet with Danse? I had to talk to him in order to join the BoS afterwards. I've done that long before I finished the main quest though. I suggest just head to the Prydwen and see what's up.

Since this is a spoiler board, I'll add that some BoS officers (esp. Proctor Quinlan) LOVE that you used the MM to take down the Institute, and actually tell why they think it might have been a superior strategy.
