So I decided to make A Miraak Info lore Thread, since i really like his character, and there's alot of thing Scattered about him. I'll start off with some of the basic things we know about him, and i'll continue from there with more complex sources, texts. I feel we should try to gather as much knowledge about him, I just like him so much

General Knowledge

-He was a dragon priest, a very high ranking one, greatly respected.

-He appeared to be in control over Solsthiem, or at least the Solslthiem Dragon cult branch.

-He was Dragonborn, the first in-fact.

-He rebelled, going against his dragon masters.

-He is VERY skilled with a unknown variant of illusion magic, being able to control most of Solshiems population in there sleep. He also shows skill with destruction magic

-He appears to be very Adept with the Thum, being able to use shouts and will, and the massacre of the dragons he left behind at his temple. He also has mastered the "Dragon aspect" and "bend will" (With Mora's help) two extremely powerful shouts.

-He is Mora's Champion.

-He has a personal "squad" of dragons under his command.

This is the common knowledge we get from the trailer and in-game sources.

The Traitor and the guardian

But we also get some stuff from the in-game book "The Traitor and the Guardian" (Note this book is most likely very biased, since the tale it takes from is from Skaal folklore, which would obviously portray the dragon cult in a positive light, and info we get from Vahlok's tomb has a slightly different tale. To add further doubt, in-game it appears its the dragons themselves that defeated Miraak) http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:The_Guardian_and_the_Traitor

-He was "seduced" by the daedric prince Hermaus Mora with promises of power and knowledge.

-His plot was discovered by a fellow dragon priest known as "The Guardian" (Which we know as Vahlok).

-While Miraak is defeated, he doesn't go down easy, the battle lasts for day's and supposedly the power both priests unleashed caused the island to break from Mainland Skyrim.

-In this tale, Miraak is saved by Hermaus Mora intervening at the last minute, snatching him away at the brink of death.

Again take this source with a grain of salt.

Dragon Aspect Word Walls

We have another nice source from the shout "dragon aspect" word walls.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Dragonborn:Dragon_Aspect

-Apparently Miraak was once very loyal to his dragon masters. As shown with them carving word walls in his honor.

-This is were it gets a little murky it say's "Great servant to all dragon priests", which dosen't make a lip of sense since all other sources claim that Miraak WAS a dragon priest.

-The third Wordwall claims him to be "Dragon priest of great wisdom", which ties in with the meaning of his name "Allegiance Guide".

From Miraak personally

Miraak himself gives us a few tidbits of information

http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Miraak#Quotes

-Miraak appears to know whatever's going on in Tamriel. He knows the order of Greybeards despite there order being founded hundreds of years after his "death". He also knows about you felling Alduin.

-Also it appears Hakon (Our dear nord from Sovengard) attempted to gain his help against the world-eater, in which he refused.

-It's possible he's read an elder scrolls, since he talks about "fate" ALOT, and about it being his destiny to kill you. It's also possible that, if he did read one, the elder scroll he read was vague like "The Last Dragonborn shall fight the first, and the first shall return back to Tamriel". He could have misinterpreted the scroll, instead of returning alive, it meant that his soul returns with the last dragonborn. All speculation of course

-He is arrogant. As being Dovah this is expected.

Tomb of Vahlok

Vahlok (Also known as the guardian in Skaal Folklore) tomb can be found in-game, and provides a different account of Miraak (Take with a grain of salt)

-Apparently Miraak was defeated by Vahlok and than banished to Solsthiem.

There's of course a few more sources im going to list later, what do you think so far? This is my first major lore project  Was it informative?
