Mirror sheild

I would like some magic sheilds that are weak to melée blocking but absorb or deflect spells. Bouncing back certain spells would be awesome. Shields need more spice any other ideas that would make sheilds more interesting in combat?

You can just put a reflect enchantment on it.

Plenty of shields in past games have reflect damage or reflect magicka. I guess you mean you want to actually see the effects of this happening? That'd be pretty cool.

There is a block perk that will deflect spells. Though if absorbing and reflecting was your goal, "There's a spell for that."

The ability to reflect a spell on command with a properly enchanted shield would be so much better than the lameness of "Reflect Spell" in Oblivion.

Indeed a lot of spells felt a little lame I'd prefer more original magic gear not just generic shield has reflect spell enchant. More like glass or mirrored shield that suits the roll

Nah... it wasn't the appearance of the shield. It was the passive nature of the enchantment. When a shield has "Reflect Spell" on it, any sensible game designer would ensure it meant that when you block with it, spells hitting the shield's surface would be reflected. Not a 30% chance to reflect spells no matter where the shield is as long as it's equipped - including in Hammerspace because you're wielding a Claymore.
