Has anybody else seen this?

When looking at miscellaneous quests in the quest log, I don't have any way of seeing which of misc. quests are highlighted before activating one. If I toggle it as active the icon changes to note it is an 'active quest', but the only way to see where I am in the list is to activate a quest and see how far I missed my desired target by.

When I've actually activated the one I want, none of them have map or HUD arrows to guide me. "Kill the bandit leader located at Halted Stream Camp" doesn't have a marker to guide me to Halted Stream Camp, "Visit the Shrine of Azura" doesn't point me to Azura's shrine etc. etc.

Very frustrating.

... and just like that it works again. Seemed to kick in after I gave Faendal Sven's fake letter in Riverwood.
