Is there any that are forever missable? Like for example there is one for recruiting all 3 NPCs on the starter island, but you CAN choose to just go with 1 NPC and therefore missing the achievement?

As an achievement mainac I want to plant to not miss any.

Since you can have up to 8 characters, I would say no. You can always make an alt to grab any achievement you missed.

Can you get every achievement on one char with no alts? I'd be surprised if that were the case, since it would mean there are no achievements tied to other factions' territories before the 50+/++ content.

In any case I would be disappointed if they made it so you could never make a decision such that some achievement were not achievable, since that would pretty much require all of them to be trivial and thus far less meaningful

Yes, there are some titles. Read link provided by Srikandi.

I don't know... in my post above, I was assuming they were, since typically achievements are associated with the player, not the character (in the original use of the term in video gaming, as in XBox achievements or Steam achievements).

But that may not be how they are implemented in ESO, in which case I was wrong about being able to get the ones you miss on an alt. Never thought to check in the beta, since I was assuming they were normal player-linked achievements

Edit: Hmm. Looking through the ESOHead list, I see that some achievements grant Veteran Points... which means they have to be per char. So not what I would consider a pure achievement system at all, as defined here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Achievement_%28video_gaming%29

The only missable achievements that come to my mind might be the world event achieves. I might be wrong tho.

No they are not. Achievments are individual for each characters. They are not account-wide.

I think you will still be able to get them all, since you can access other factions' questzones after level 50. Of course, I'm totally unsure about that.

That would imply that you would simply be repeating the quests that alliance did to level up and to me that would be a disappointment.

Especially if you are leveling alts in that alliance.

As far as I know, it's exactly what it is. I don't think they developped 6 entire new questlines for that. I think they just opened the other factions questlines to please people who complained about not being able to see all Tamriel with one character.

Personnaly, I was fine with not being able to explore enemy territory, but it seems it was a big deal enough for them to open up everything.

If what I say is true, it's some kind of a disapointment for me too, especially if my Almeri Dominion character goes in Skyrim and starts helping the Skald King.

But nothing is perfect and I guess it's still way better than endless boring daily quests I'm used to in other MMOs.

I dont think we have them yet, not until we have our first world event. And we dont know when is that.

there are some quest related achievements which you can miss... ebonheart starter island comes in my mind... there is one for finding and rescuing all missing people, if you evacuade the island before you find all, you can't do it later and dont get the achievment if i remeber right... but not realy sure for that

This is pretty much what I was thinking, I wanted to compile of list of the possible missable ones, so that I know which can be missed when I come to them. However I guess if you get a quest that is like "You can just get 1 NPC but you can get all 3 NPC" Obvioulsy thats a missable one. Just want to know how many are like this. Maybe its just 1 per faction, but no idea since I havent gone higher than lvl15
