Lost to the ages

I know that I found the shard at Deep Folk Crossing early in the game. I have the other three but the first one is now missing.

Is there anything I can do to recover the shard ? I am on a pc.

Ok question, what exactly is happening, does the quest say you have 3 shards? Also where havent you gone to get a shard yet?
