What is < missing name > in my inventory telling me and where did it come from?

It's most likely from a mod. If a mod maker does not fill in the "Name" space when creating an item in the CS the game will automatically put < missing name > in its place. If you're worrried, it's not necessarily a sign that anything is wrong with the mod or the item, other than the missing name. You can use either http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21862 or http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16704 to find out which mod added the item.

Thank you for the reply. When I dropped the item, what ever it was,it turned into a WTF missing mesh star. No problem though. Thanks again

Do you have an idea which added this item? It's beginning to sound like the mod wasn't very well made.

I'm not sure as I have over 60 mods but I think I got it from a companion when I took all of her stuff.
