AlizarinCrimson was working on the mesh for my Dark Spire, and doing a awesome job of it too, but he hasn't been active since Nov 21 and hasn't posted since Nov 8! I hope I didn't scare him off! :bolt: But seriously, I'm actually starting to worry about him. He didn't leave any note telling me where he was going. I hope it's nothing serious. Not to mention I'm dying to know what has happened to the mesh he was working on as well. <_<

This is just a desperate attempt to find some answer as to his status. Does anyone know where he is?

I hadn't seen him on the IRC channel (#tesmoddersden on irc.quakenet.org) in a while either, but I haven't been on much recently myself. He was posting some really nice WIP screens fairly often.

Well the fact that he was working steadily and posting WIPz shots up until the time he disappeared, here as well as other places, makes me think that it must be something that he didn't expect. He didn't seem like the kind of person to just leave without saying a word. Maybe he just got tired of modding, and needed a vacation!! I don't blame him. Well if anyone finds out anything else please let me know.

It's unfortunate that he's disappeared but it may just because Christmas is coming up. I hope he comes back soon.

Yeah, I hope you're right, and that he hasn't fallen off the edge of the planet.

I would suggest waiting until after Christmas, it can be fairly common for people to drop off the radar for a few weeks and since it's coming up to silly season, I'm really not that surprised.

Sadly, I don't think he ever uploaded that tower mesh. It was still in the early stages of development. Thanks for the link though. It actually looks like he was posted something on the blog recently. I left him a message. Hopefully he gets it and can upload that mesh for me, if he's done working on it.

Well, still no news. He really seems to have vanished - at least as far as his online persona goes. It just seems like he would have said something! it just doesn't make any sense.

If I still can't get a hold of him, it's no big deal. I can always try to duplicate his work when the time comes.

Heheheh, this really made me giggle. Vanishing helpers i call them. Sadly, there are many people out there that doesn't take other's work seriously. And by many, i mean really almost everyone. Some promise they would help, even if they don't have the skills to do it. Of course, they don't ever help. Some say the want to learn to help, so you make a long PM teaching them everything, so that they can tell you that they are not really interested. Some have the skills, and they may even start working. Some say goodbye, but most of them just vanish. No one gives you any help.

It is really frustrating, since you get excited and you really count that this one person will do something for you, and then brakes his promise. I have literally dozens of helpers who promised to aid me and did nothing. So, for all of enthusiasts out there: make sure you can really help someone before you make any promises, otherwise you'll only hurt someone.

I can safely say that I've done most things I've said I would try to do... just sent an animated door last week which I said I'd learn how to animate to do so about 2 months ago... even if I appear to be doing nothing I'm trying to figure out what is not working - or caught up in RL.

Maybe his wife had a baby, he was driving to the hospital when a terrorists stopped by his car and asked him for directions to the nearest landmark..
When he arrived at the hospital he reailsed his baby was an alien, and suddenly a spaceship ripped the roof off the hospital and svcked him, the baby and the wife into it. His family is locked up in containment for a week, being fed only scraps when he rips off his shirt, revealing a ripped body and begins to beat the [censored] out of all the aliens. When he reaches the control room, he presses every button he can, but unfortunetly lands on mars. Apparently mars has breathable air, so he's been living there, studying the controls of the spaceship so he could finally return to earth and finish his project with you.

But he has his laptop, it has limited internet connection and only have to upload pictures every year. He's probably been working on his mesh, waiting for the day he returns.

Hahaha! That would be sweet.


I've learned that it's best to work on one thing at a time whenever possible. So, truth be told, I can't ask anyone else to work on it, unless they really really want to. Currently I'm involved with the Forsaken Isles project and I would like to put all my available time into getting that finished at the moment.

If anyone wants to help me, it would be best for them to help phitt with the Forsaken Isles instead - since that project has a decent chance of being released sooner than later. The Dark Spire is a project that I really hope to work on at some point also, but later rather than sooner.



Plus, there's always a chance he'll get back from Mars and upload it for me.

November 8th is my birthday!!!! Maybe he wanted to slip away on that day to honor me!!!
