I mentioned this in the main forum, but I guess I should report it here so that it doesn't get overlooked. This has been happening to me in Sanctuary. I have 4 shops, 3 of which I've assigned to random settlers, and 1 to
. When I first assign them, they go and stand behind their counters, everything seems fine (though as I've mentioned elsewhere, they almost never want to actually barter, just trade gear -- I have to say hello to them about 4 or 5 times before they'll actually give me that option). That said, after the first day, ONLY that one non-settler guy will be manning their stand. Everyone else is MIA. Note that even Mama Murphy or any of the other named npcs makes a more conscientious salesperson (Granted they are often gone also, puttering around doing other random stuff, but at least they are there SOMETIMES). I kept assigning a new person to man the stands, but the next day they are completely missing, like they embezzled money from me or something, and I've completely run out of settlers (no joke). Only that damned guy I mentioned is there always. Unfortunately, he ALWAYS has to go into the damned spiel about how grateful he is, about 'look at the two of us', and I have to ask again 'Would you like to work for me', even though he's standing right there, selling me liquor (or he will, when I finally get that damned barter option to come up again). Like we haven't had that same exact conversation 100 days in a row.
In a similar vein, I'm on a quest with Deacon (the first quest you go on with him), and I'm supposed to do the talking, only every time the conversation starts, Deacon wanders off, and the guy I'm supposed to be conversing with stops, and I can't get him to start again until Deacon comes back, and then the conversation starts from scratch like we never met before. I had to do that like 10 times before I could get the whole conversation to complete without Deacon wandering off in the middle. Deacon has a serious case of ADHD.
Finally, I can't turn in "The Lost Patrol" quest to Danse -- there's no conversation option to turn it in.
