I talked to Preston Garvey, but he didn't give me the mission called, Kidnapping at County Crossing! This mission is one of the first in the game and I didn't get it. Will this mission come around later on in the game or do I have to start the game all over again and hope I get it next time? I'm trying to complete every mission possible. Fallout 4 can be so frustrating :/

I'm pretty sure that's a radiant quest and they are random.

Ish. All the get the settlement missions will be the same every time but given out in a random order and half the time he gives me the really annoying and difficult ones in the beginning.

As the others have said, that's one of the radiant Minutemen/settlement quests. They're mostly randomized. If you keep talking to Preston, you'll get a 'Kidnapping at (insert random settlement name)' quest at some point. Or you'll get like 12 of them and get sick of them and start ignoring them and avoiding Preston like many of us have already done lol

Yush, apart from very few Minuteman quests, all of them are Radiant Quests, meaning they have random theme as well as random location. Kidnappings are among those and I wonder where you get the idea that it should come in some set order .

I've done the 'Kidnapping at Abernathy Farm' quest three times now. It was assigned a fourth time but I just ignored it until I failed it, and then didn't talk to Preston afterward. All three times it was a group of raiders at the Federal Rations Stockpile. I have cleared that place out so many times now it's ridiculous. I can just run straight through that place because I know exactly where they're all going to spawn.
