Mixed feelings about in game class change

Loadouts as far as abilities, are tied to your class. If you change classes at a command post, your abilities will change as well.

Ah, I was talking about weapons.

So what keeps a team from class-spamming an objective then?

I just came across the "medic" mission where you may have to escort a person off the map. This sounds great until I realized that, no matter what tpye of force the attackers put up, if every member of the defence goes back and swtiches to medic...they'll just be able to sit behind and spam the "heal" button.

No amount of firepower is going to beable to stop 12 medics from healing one guy, ya see?

If you try to "class-spam" an objective, you will lack the abilities of the other classes to complete the task.

Even if you have a full team of medics, they will be able to revive the "VIP" very often, but they won't be able to buff themselves. They will not be able to set up a sentry gun or two to keep the attackers busy. They won't be able to disable enemy sentries because there is no operative to quickly hack them. They can't just "medic-train" the target, because if they run out of pips, they lose. They can't wait for respawn all the time, because if they do, they run out of mission time.

From what I've collected, it's basically your "skill ammo" like mana or fatigue in other games.

So is it as posted earlier: where you have a loadout tied to each class, and swapping to another class also swaps your loadout? Or whilst swapping between classes can you match them up freely with ANY of your various loadouts?

They're separate. You can change loadout without changing class, and you can change class without changing loadout. Weapons are tied to body type only.

Wait a minute, in one of the videos doesn't the player switch his class and then at the bottom of the circular selection screen it shows 3 or 4 loadouts, assault, close range, support, and I actually can't remember the last one. But I remember seeing these 3 or so loadout at the bottom. I may have to go back and re-watch the video.

so could you become a soldier...throw down a ammo box, change back to engineer and put down a turret then change to spy and just camp a spot while looking like the enemy team? please someone shed some light cuz I understand the gun load out but I don't know if this is possible or not.

Well in the way you described it no.

Soldiers don't drop ammo boxes they toss it to teammates

Turrets will disappear if you change class
