[relz] Mlox, A Tool For anolyzing And Sorting Your Load Orde

Yes, me too - do you have any source on the order? I just assumed an order-of-release load order.
Pretty much as you, was going to have Colt17's mods after Max's original and whatever else (if anything) the readmes say.

As of this update, mlox is telling me about the MasterIndexJournalfix I should use. However, the page it sends me to refuses to let me download the mod, citing this error: "Error: Your session ID does not match the session ID for this download link. If you are following this link from our site, please report it to the admin.. If you believe this to be in error, please quote the above error and report this to the admin"

I hope this isn't the only site with the mod. You should probably see if this is something that's happening to the site of if its just limited to me.

Try refreshing the page and as soon as it's refreshed try and download again. I think Fliggerty's set up a quite aggressive session timeout for Morrowind Modding History.

I reported a broken link so the admin should know soon.

Also, here's something I keep overlooking in mlox, an issue concerning Antares' Big Mod.

[PATCH] !!"MISSING(Antares' Big Mod 4 - MCA 5.2 - patch.esp)" for: [ALL [ANY "MISSING(Antares' Big Mod 4.esp)", "Antares' Big Mod 5.esp"], 'MCA.esm'] | "Some functions of ABM, if used with NPC from MCA, will crash the game. With this patch, these new functions are not available for NPCs from MCA." | (Note that the patch works with version 5 of Antares' Big Mod also). | (Ref: "Antares' Big Mod 4 - MCA 5.2 - patch - README.txt")

I have ABM5, and the MCA 6.0 patch for it, but it still keeps telling me about Big Mod 4 and its MCA 5.2 patch for whatever reason.

There's a download count of 1 so I don't think it's a broken link. Not sure if you need to sign up the site to download or not...

Thanks for that, added that as a mirror on MMH.

There is no version number in MCA.esm's filename of plugin header. Versions 5.0, 5.1, 5.2 (both The Undead-compatible and not) and now 6.0 and 6.1 are just called "MCA.esm"

So, what we've been doing is changing the rules to identify the different versions by the size of the files. This hasn't been done in this case. mlox is reporting things correctly (i.e. you do have "MCA.esm" and you do have "Antares' Big Mod 5.esp" and you do not have "Antares' Big Mod 4 - MCA 5.2 - patch.esp") what needs to happen is for all the rules to be updated to do this size check for MCA versions 5.0, 5.1, 5.2 (both The Undead-compatible and not), 6.0 and 6.1

And then there's all the addons that people have made. Believe me this isn't trivial. It's on my list...

mlox stills eems to run, but shows no current or proposed load order (the fields are empty).

EDIT: Standalone .exe version works fine, but the python version keeps getting that error no matter how many times I reinstall. Please check if it was just on my end or if the files themselves are f***ed.

The version of wxPython you have installed is not the one the mlox documentation tells you that you need (2.8.7.1). If you install that, I believe that will fix your problem. The standalone version was created so that people would not have to worry about installing the correct pre-requisites, so if that works, it might be best if you just used that.

I suggest that you abandoned the python based version of mlox and use mlox.exe instead, but you can't "Update" your LO in mlox.
You should use Melchor's http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1106095-wrye-mash-stand-alone/ (python isn't required) to handle your mods in Morrowind. :)

I'm confused. Why is the .exe better than the python version? And I'm very confused when you say you can't update your load order in mlox. Informing you of why you'd want to change your load order, then actually changing it, is the entire point of mlox if I understand it correctly.

I assume that you have a non-US OS (XP/Vista/Win7) installed on your computer. Correct?

If so, you see I know there is a language issue with the update function in mlox and once you click on the "Update" button in mlox it will crash.

You can run mlox, but cannot http://img573.imageshack.us/img573/6642/mloxmaxgui.png inside of mlox (if there were aything to update).
If mlox detect anything in your LO that needs to be updated then you must redate every mod that needs to be sorted in Wrye Mash.
If you find Wrye Mash confusing you can always use Yacoby's http://yacoby.silgrad.com/MW/Mods/Reordermods.htm utility to change your LO manually.

The mlox.exe is much better, because you don't need to install python, which is required with the mlox.py version. :)
Both Wrye Mash Stand Alone (WMSA) and mlox.exe (non-python) has the same advantage against the required python based version of mlox.py and Wrye Mash. That's the reason I suggested it in the first place. :D

Oh! No, my OS is US. But it is quite likely the person you were replying to did have non-US OS. I thought your advice was for everyone; please accept my apologies for the misunderstanding.

(I like having the Python version because I can fiddle with the code if I feel like it... but I imagine that's only true for a small subset of people.)

I think this is wrong, because no matter what I do this message still appears.
It seems that mlox doesn't check if the required plugin is found or not.

!!!'[VER = 1.1109 sris_alchemy_bm.esp]' Requires:> 'MISSING(Sri Alchemy BM List Patch.esp)'_057_ Sris_Alchemy_BM.esp_058_ Uvirith's Legacy_Final_2.0.esp_061_ UL_Srikandy_patch.esp

That's Srikandi's Alchemy Bloodmoon mod with the patch that's needed for Stuporstar's UL 2.0 mod and I've installed that patch as you should. It has not happen before. I try to find Sri Alchemy BM List Patch so please igonre this if it's not relevant

EDIT: I've just installed DN-GDRv1, NoM 3.0, AshlanderTentDX and all of them needs to be corrected in the masterlist for mlox, because both DN-GDRv1 and AshlanderTentDX mod needs to be updated with NoM 3.0 not only NoM 2.13 (detect both version)
In the NoM 3.0 readme it's pointed out that Water Level Fix - Full must be loaded after NoM 3.0, but mlox not detect that specific loadorder

Ashlander Tent DX should have rules for Nom 2.13 and Nom 3.0 in the current mlox_base.txt. Although it's missing a Requires rule for the NoM 3.0 addon. What's the problem you're seeing?

As to the Sri's Alchemy message do you get this text:
You are missing "Sri Alchemy BM List Patch". "Sris_Alchemy_BM.esp" (Version 1.1109) uses deprecated AddToLev* function to modify gamesas leveled lists.
For an explanation of why the functions AddToLev*/RemoveFromLev* are deprecated, please see: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Tes3Mod:Leveled_Lists
Some patches may be available at that link.
You can also get a replacement Sris_Alchemy_BM.esp that includes the patch here: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20882
I think that explains things pretty well, it links directly to a replacement ESP and also links to the UESP page that in turn links to Wrye's patch plugin.

Is there any rewording you'd suggest?

Hi,
when I try to reorder the load order with mlox (.exe file) i get this error:

How can I get it working?
Thanks :)

I'm afraid you won't be able to do that with this version of mlox, because there is a language issue of those with a non-US OS installed. I know john.moonsugar is already aware of this issue and his trying to fix it in the next version of mlox.

However you can still use it, but not to update your loadorder in mlox as long this issue is present.

I suggest that you run mlox as usual just to see if there is any messages to deal with, but you must use http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1068986-wrye-mash-thread-5/ or http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1106095-wrye-mash-stand-alone/ and redate the mods manually.
