Honestly, assuming ZeniOnline is actually working on an ES MMO, I don't know how they imagine it will be sustainably profitable. There are a lot of popular fantasy franchises that have come out with MMOs; they all come out of the gate strong but they dwindle and die when they finally hit the firmly cemented market dominance that is WoW. Blizsad tapped that niche first and expanded on it the best. They not only have leadership in the field, they've got the developmental and monetary advantage, they've pretty much hand-crafted the publicly-accepted standard for what an MMOis supposed to present to the world, and they've already got their mechanics very-well tweaked to what they want. I just don't believe that Blizzard can be foisted from their hotspot by any company trying to capitalize on their leftovers. There's a long trail of bones in that graveyard as a warning for those who would try.
Let alon the more traditional reasons to resist an MMO, that it removes by its nature all the things I find enjoyable about TES: Being the sole savior of the world, rising from nothing to demi-god status, being alone in a vast open world, roleplaying how I want without social consequence, even if it means my character is gimped, using mods to create the world as I want it, etc, etc.
If it didn't affect Beth's advancement with the main series, I probably wouldn't care too much, but somehow I don't believe things wouldn't cross over and murk up each other's waters.
