Dr.Mobius named after Dr. Morbius?

Do think that Mobius is based of Dr Morbius from Forbidden Planet?
With the robot servants and all that jazz...
Thought ocurred when the movie got name dropped in MGS 3 which I was playing through cus I have nothing to do until OWB.

Somehow I think Forbidden Planet is more likely, since it's a 50's movie and he was Robby the robot's owner.
Robby the robot is what protectrons are based on by the way ;)
