Original Oblivion thread by "Smokindan"

Taking a leaf from the Morrowind Mod Forum (Originally by Ronin49) I've decided to create this thread in which anyone who is looking for a mod can post what they're looking for and I will, or anyone who wishes to, will find that mod for you smile.gif

Please remember folks, this thread is for people who know that the mod they are looking for exists, and have already searched extensively for it.

Also, be sure to download Buddah's List of Links (Check my Sig!),.

Credit for this thread goes to smokindan, and anyone is encouraged to answer.

Thanks

I'm looking for two things. A gas mask and throwing stars. I've seen ones that are done by modifying a spell but I would prefer just some misc items/weapons that I can throw with UV. As for the gas mask I'm very doubtful I'll get one but I'm asking anyway.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7822 version of throwing stars doesn't seem to have any spells modified. Have you tried it?

No I haven't tried that. But I probably should have mentioned that I'm really just looking for a mesh. Sorry about that.

Ok here's one. I'm looking for a mod that redoes the character generation. I've used arrive by ship numerous times but I'm looking for something that lets me start in the other towns. I've tried CDM's mod but didn't like it. I'm hoping for something more vanilla oblivion but with a mix of stuff CDM did. For instance I did like his starting item selection and how you could start almost anywhere, but other than that I didn't like it.

Thanks in advance guys.

EDIT:

Also what other mods are there in alternative to Oblivion XP? I don't really like the HUD Oblivion XP adds but I still like the whole XP based leveling.

Hey Buddah, I had posted this in the other thread similar to this, thinking it was your thread. Anyhow, here is my quest...

I'm looking for a mod that adds apples like poison apples, but ones that make the NPC fall asleep instead (damage or drain fatigue, most likely). The reason is that I don't really want to kill anyone - just make them pass out so that they reawaken later. Any chances of there being a mod like this in existence?

Hi, is there a mod that allows you to play music from your computer rather than the standard music?

You don't need a mod to do this. Open up the Oblivion directory, and in the "Data" folder, there is a "Music" folder with all the different tracks the game plays. You can dump music into the corresponding folder - and I think you have to name them accordingly (Public02.mp3 or whatever) with the ones that are in there.

If you'd like some more control over the music and you'd like to add more music to the game as well, I recommend http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=26892, which is awesome if I do say :P

I'm looking for a mod, that allows NPC's to take the stuff from their killed opponents like armor, swords, money. Because its very unrealistically when a bandit for example, kills someone and is not taking their stuff. This also works very unbalancing to the game, because the player gets all stuff and becomes rich at low levels.

Is there anywhere that I can download FCOM without having to download anything else for it to work? Every version I've looked at on TESNexus and PlanetElderscrolls say something like "This version requires XX version y.yy.y. So I go to dowload XX version y.yy.y and THAT says "XX version y.yy.y requires XX version y.wy.w in order to work". But then THAT version requires another version and so on and so forth. Is there ANY place to download FCOM with ALL of the resources needed in one download file? Or will I be forced to download 500 versions just to get it running?

The http://devnull.sweetdanger.net/convergence.html page has links to the correct versions of all the files you need. Just scroll down to the quick start links.

The install guide there is great too. Should get you up and running with minimum hassle ^_^

I assume Martigens Monster Mod aka MMM does this.

Hello. I've tried my luck on the mod psychics about this same thing and I got a small list of mods from Qawsed Asap. However, I desire more.

I am looking for a list of mods that add a significant (5 or more different types) amount of items (armor, weapons, items, whatever) into leveled lists so that I can find more diverse items in my game. I don't care if you list any that I already have, I just want as many that add 5 or more armor, weapons or items to Oblivion leveled lists. I know they are out there, I just don't know where. FCOM compatibility is preferred, but not necessary.

Thanks! Hopefully I can get a sizeable number of mods from this. ;D

Well, yeah...that IS the type of mod I'm looking for. However, I need more than just that single mod. Here's a list of mods I already have that add items to the levelled list (so you guys know what kind of mods I'm looking for):

FCOM - OOO, Frans, MMM, Warcry
Slof's Robe Trader
Francesco's optional armor addon
Frans_Lv30 Items by Maltz
Loths Blunt weapons
Artifacts
Armamentium (with artifacts support)
Rune Skulls by Exnem
Bobs Armory
LAME (adds spell notes)
Spell Tomes official DLC
COBL
KDCircletsOOOOptimized
Tamriellic Travelers
More and Moldy Ingredients

All these items add substantial amounts of item to the game, but also make them so they are more realistically obtained through the use of leveled lists. I'm looking for more of these kinds of mods that make it so that I can find a wider variety of items from enemies, or the inventory of people, or whatever.

I find it hard to believe I have all there is when it comes to mods that add substantial amounts of items to the Oblivion leveled list. Are there any more? So far the only real answer I've gotten was from Qawsed Asap, but he couldn't possibly have listed all of them. Right?

Are there any mods which change the sewers in the Imperial City? Like at all? I'm checking to see weather or not a mod idea would conflict or not.
