Mod Detectives 107

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 5:21 pm

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10763 has that as one of its (almost) infinite number of options, but if you don't want a full UI overhaul, http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4551 does just what you ask.

Thanks a bunch man, the NO GPS thingy does it. I use the dark UI with BTmod instead :foodndrink:

Doh, it didt work... hmm, it should as its just 1 texture file...

I'm looking for two things from this picture: http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc212/darkstorne/28701-5-1260719423.jpg

1) The sword.

2) The sky, assuming it isn't photoshopped in, which i'm pretty sure it is :( No harm in hoping though!

Thanks for reading ^_^

I did use it for a long time before switching to Darnified, so I'm sure it works. Are you sure you put the texture file in the right place, i.e. put the textures folder inside the arcive, in your Oblivion\data folder.

Anyone know of a mod where you could start a new game, and the main quest would already be completed? I thought I heard about something like this a while back.

I did find http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8495.

Thanks. I wonder if there's a way to have the main quest be done as well as one of the Kvatch mods. In essence, like the main quest never happened.

Is there a mod that makes NPC conversations not svck? For example, I was in the Imperial City, and overheard the following:

NPC 1: Hello!
NPC 2: How are ya?
NPC 1: I've been better.
NPC 2: How about that. Goodbye!

Well, this is the closest thing I've found that uses the Kvatch Rebuilt resources...

Mods that help when it's your CPU holding you back? I can run the game on max settings and get 50+ fps but when two rats come on the screen my game slows to a crawl. I'll post my specs up here.

2GBs of DDR2 dual channel
http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16819116001
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127434&Tpk=msi%209600gt

As you can see, the processor is holding me back. Until I can save up enough for a core2duo (the next best thing my motherboard supports), I gotta stick with it though.

anyone know if there's a mod that gets rid of the "if you keep blocking you can cast spells faster" thingie?

I think this mod does it. I think it'll overwrite your casting animations though if you use custom ones.

Its a Wing Demon / Demon wing by http://www.tesnexus.com/modules/members/index.php?id=320142. Ya can try to follow the link in his profile to find it from there, I assume?

According to comment number 8 in page 6 (or the oldest page of comment) of the http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=27174, I assume Xenius present this http://tesadventures.com/forum/index.php?topic=347.0 for that clothing?

Yes I just put in the stutter remover, But if I recall correctly streamline only has significant gains when it's you GPU holding you back. I'll look through the TOPP to see if I can find anything like what I'm looking for, but I might just resort to overclocking to 3.4 since I heard these things can overclock stably to 4.1 with the right cooler. Maybe PYFFI'ing will help some.

Thanks for the reply,

I posted this somewhere yesterday, but can't seem to find it...

If I kill someone, their body lies around for DAYS. I know there's a console command to remove it manually, but is there a mod or something that will remove these bodies after a few (ingame) hours or such?

EDIT: If not, just knowing the console command to remove bodies would help (as I've forgotten it). I'm thinking removing these bodies can help reduce save game bloat.

Thanks everyone. I've been wanting to try a game without the main quest.

There's http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8939. It's not exactly what you asked for, but you might be able to tweak it yourself.

The console command is "disable". Just open the console, click on the corpse, and type disable. Make sure you have selected the corpse, though, because you could delete a piece of ground or something by accident.

Think I'll just stick with disable then for areas where I want the bodies gone. Less mods = safer - thanks!

I'm looking for a mod where you can't just use the jail cell bedroll, but you have to wait out the time yourself.

What's a good mod to clean up NPC faces? They look crummy and like they all have a rash.

Install better age maps from http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1965 or http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5643, if you don't have either already.
