Mod Detectives 110

Post » Tue Sep 07, 2010 8:14 pm

I'm looking for a mod that lets you do odd jobs, or have steady employment somewhere in a capacity that isn't focused exclusively on adventuring but more roleplaying and characters. I already have the Gold Horse delivery mod thing, but it doesn't quite fit the idea I have in mind.

A good Morrowind reference would be the LGNPC Pelagiad mod, which let you work for Mebestien Ence. Does anything like this exist for Oblivion?

I know this isn't exactly what you're looking for, but Valley View Estate has some of this factor. You go through a short questline and get this estate. You hire folks to work the vineyard and to guard it. Your folks work the vineyard and produce wine. If you age the wine in your wine cellar, you can take it and sell it to a travelling vendor. A nice way to make some money but once it's set up you only go back once every ten days to pick up the aged wine, and pay your folks. You could rp there but can't really make the wine yourself. Anyway it's a good one to have for a business running mod.

sometime, long ago, in a galaxy far far away, I played oblivion with a rather simple, yet nifty mod (best for archers)

It made it so that merchants began to carry arrows according to your level...like, at level 5 you they will carry tons of Iron arrows, quite a few silver arrows, some dwarven arrows, and a handful of elven arrows.

It doesn't have to be that exact mod, but, are there any mods that do the same or similar? I am browsing Nexus right now, but I am not getting any results.

EDIT: Nevermind, if you want it done best, do it yourself, I suppose.

I'm sure I saw a mod not too long ago that allowed you to place your own enchanting and spellmaking altars but I can't find it. Is it anywhere? Thanks in advance! :)

Seems way over the top to me, because your enemies won't have them, but you could always try http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4829.

Let's you channel a normal spell through a staff for reduced spell cost?

http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29526 This mod doesn't behave like the MW mod you're referring to ( I love the LGNPC series, myself), but it's a very good "little" roleplayer's mod, all the same.

I've been looking for a mod which I had before, but now I can't find it anywhere.

The mod adds a race with horns and beast-type legs (I think it was something like a goat?) and I think it was still in Beta. I *think* it started with an S, but I'm not 100% sure on that.

That's all I remember, hope it's enough information.

Thanks in advance,

Hi,

I need a mod that makes you drink, sleep and eat.

Thank you.

I'm looking for a mod that lets me scale the player character in size. Some of the races in the Xenius Race Compilation are rather "petite".

You would have to tweak the height and weight in the plugin itself or make a patch with TES4Edit or TESCS. (I recommend TES4Edit for simplicity.)

Edit: wording

Are there any mods (Besides MMM which I have) that add flying monsters to the game? (I was thinking something along the lines of Cliff Racers from Morrowind and the like)

With some discounts, and another 22 inch monitor [shipped separately and sitting in the box next to my desk, out the door my cost total was 2932. I get a 10% as an affiliate employee discount from my employer, and had a few other coupons that I used. Took about 500, off of the total cost. So it was not as bad as it sounds. I went in with a pretty hard budget of 2900. So I used every penny I had available, and my wonderful bride kicked in the rest.

Just got an email notification, it has been shipped, will be here 4/21/10. Wooooooooot ! ! ! ! !

This one is giving me fits, requires a complete format and reinstall of everything...that takes a couple of days for me to get done. I will rebuild it when I have transferred my archives to the new rig. Then it well get delegated for a friend who had his blow up, quite literally the psu blew and smoked almost everything on the mobo. So it will live on, just elsewhere.

I thought the dual ATI Radeon required a 1.1 KW PSU - that's what it says when I customize on Alienware's website...

anyone know of a mod that adds a sleep type spell or a shove spell? would love to shove a critter off a cliff or boulder, let them take fall damage, and continue pelting them with spells or arrows.

conjure a fist of air that knock the npc back 20 feet. for example

I'm looking for a mod that has a chain for a belt. The actual pic of this belt is in the link I'm posting. Look farther down and the guy posts his character with the belt..it even has a spellbook attatched to it I think.
