Mod Detectives 111

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 5:35 am

im looking for a mod that reduces the chance for the player to equip equipment because of a few factors.

1 the armor is to damaged thus the need to repair. a overhaul of how damaged armor is handled. the way it is now. armor can be worn even at 1 percent condition. im looking for a mod that makes armor unwearable if falling below a certain value unless repaired back to a wearable value.

2 the wrong size, either to small or big to fit in.

3 lesser versions of random equipmentnot all equipment should fall under the lesser value.

the next mod is a overhaul of how you restore damaged armor.

1 needing to be in a certain area to work on armor maybe some other item besides hammers. basically any mod that makes repairing armor more immersive.

You may want to check out http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28924. I still do not know what that mod is all about, but it seems to be high on the "immersion" list for some reason, haha. :)

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16137 has a knockout feature. I haven't tried it myself. Not yet, at least.

I'm currently giving that one a trial run, and it seems to be working fine. So far, so good.

Got it, I'll give it a try. Thanks!

BTW I think I used to have a mod that makes a character collapse to the ground just before death with like 5% HP left... was it Realistic Fatigue? I cant seem to find the ini setting for it in RF.

I'm looking for a face mod by Enayla that was made after Facial Textures by Enayla. The name is something like Facial Textures 2. It includes optional rugged orc textures. Can anyone remember the exact name?

Thanks

I read somewhere that there's a mod that removes the constant effect shader. Can anybody tell me where it is?

Constant-effect shader doesn't always persist, but when it does, it annoys me to no end :brokencomputer:

Hmmm....I did a good search and a nexus search for a mod that adds facial hair to the game, but I have gotten a lack of them. The only result I got was http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10870, which doesn't exactly achieve http://www.daxiongames.com/half_life/images/gordon_freeman_big.gif.
I am having my doubts since results were very limited on even a google search, but if there are any other facial hair mods, I would like to know.

These beards are nice: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8393. However, it looks like you should be in the TESCS turning up the beard ring setting a lot (in skin tone.) I think that that would be a better imitation of the image you are looking for...

Looking for a simple mod that makes everything (the PC and enemies) do more damage/ have less health / die easier, through combat or all means.
I saw a recently relz mod here a few days ago but I think it will be incompatible

Maybe Phitt is psychic because he keep making mods that fit users requests exactly (and they are not the most common requests easier): http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=31379.

How about a mod that changes the voices of the Dunmer to be more the rough and gruff from Morrowind? Anything out there? Because I swear...tomato, tomato...

Making a Gordon Freeman character seems to be a rather challenging job. Turning up the beard ring a lot did...and okay job, but it still doesn't seem scruffy enough. So...are there any scruffy male face textures? or any other beard mods? One of the beards got close to getting it but it was rather large. If worse comes to worse, I will use it, but I would like to see if I have any other available options.

I did a general search for "beard" and that was the best I found. You can look through the results again, as there are not many pages...

I never liked that start by ship stuff, I mean, sure saves me from doing that damn tutorial everytime, ofcourse my way of skipping the tutorial was to save right before exiting the sewers. Anyways, http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=24848 really adds a lot into starting a game, being immersed and adding a new element to role-playing as you get to select your starting point with it's own background story:
Mage in study
Blacksmith's Apprentice (warrior)
Assassin on the run

This is perhaps the greatest alt. start mod that I have found. And I have to say, in combination with playing the mage with LAME they really go hand in hand.

Whichever background you pick you get specific perks to fit that background, instead like the beginning of the game where you be a warrior who fights with brawns and winds up getting spells, this fixes it depending on what beginning you pick. It's absolutely amazing. oh, and it starts you off with your own home...well I hesitate to call it a home. They start you off with essentially a small place you own. Some storage and a bed - the bare essentials.

Well, dark(er) blue skies aside (unless anyone does have an answer for that one, of course...) -

Is there anything like "Body Control" (a Fallout 3 mod) for Oblivion?

Note: I haven't tried the FO3 one, so I have no idea how much of a success or otherwise it is. And therefore, in addition to the fact that the games are a bit different, I don't even know if it's possble, let alone been done yet. :)

But it would be awesome, because much as I love both EVE and BAB, as well as Robert's, there's a time and place, y'know?

What is "Body Control"?

From memory (! - so, could be misremembering) it's a mod that somehow uses a whole bunch of different body mods, selectively, presumably for different (types of?) NPCs. And, again presumably, you'd get to choose for your PC, from among however many (lots, as I recall).

edit: For female body types, because um, there weren't that many male (surprise, surprise). ;)
