Thanks, will all of these (assuming I only choose one of the three) work alongside Midas Magic?

Midas mainly adds skills so it will be compatible

All of them work together fine as well. AOMS even requires all three (SM, LAME, and Midas).

Hmm... I like the sound of LAME. I like the idea of making magic more accessible, it is a bit of a pain worrying about applying my low level shield effect every 30s. Torn between which ones to use however, AOMS sounds cool but I may pass it up during it's current beta state and try it again later on as I know supreme and the others have been around longer.

Any you guys would recommend for various reasons to go along w/ Midas perhaps?

I can't think of the name atm but what mod gives you an alternative way to level up? like when you level up you get say 10 points (or whatever) to spend on what ever skills\attributes you want?

P.S. Is there a good mod that makes archery more realistic?

There is or was a combat archery mod (or maybe Duke Patrick's SCA) by Duke Patrick hosted on the nexus I was unable to find it, I have never used it but I heard it was pretty good. There is also FCOM_Archery, which is a part of FCOM I am not sure if it is able to be used separately or not.

As for leveling, there are a few good leveling mods (Realistic Leveling, nGCD, Progress) just to name a few. There is also a mod that gives you +5 attributes for any skill when you level up, as opposed to having to use the corresponding attribute's associated skills to get the modifier to +5. That is here: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2691 .

Does anyone know of any mods that re-texture the areas that QTP3 does not touch?

Which includes Kvatch, the Arena, and most importantly the Oblivion Planes.

I'm looking for a mod that I once saw that alters the messages you get when gaining ranks in a skill and levelling up (e.g. Novice to Journeyman message) to more unique messages.

I'm looking for a mod like http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1011770-wipz-finders-keepers/ that allow NPC's to pick up and use weapons and items from dead corpses etc. From the description:

Why is it that you're the only one who ever gets rich in the game? Well the residents of Tamriel have had enough and they've decided to institute a new rule?"Finders Keepers, Losers Weepers!" No longer will NPCs wait around for the player to clean out all the loot, now they are just as likely to pick up loot as you are. So as the game progresses and you find cool new items, so will the rest of the residents of Tamriel. Finders Keepers allows any NPC (mod-added as well) to loot corpses or pick up weapons and shields off the ground. The intelligent looting system will allow NPCs choose which items to loot (e.g. A Mage may take spell scrolls whereas a Thief may take lockpicks). In the future this will also be integrated with BRAINS so that NPCs in combat can switch weapons/shields if they see a better one on the ground.

Finding Keepres wil not be released so i'm looking for a mod like that. Thanks!

I'm looking for a mod like http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1011770-wipz-finders-keepers/ that allow NPC's to pick up and use weapons and items from dead corpses etc.

Mart's Monster Mod (MMM) has a plugin that does this. From the description:

Looting NPCs & Creatures: NPCs, Goblins and Ogres will loot the bodies of their fallen prey. The exception is Guards, since you don't want them taking your loot (unless you don't mind killing them for it). Looting is about more than just NPCs taking each other's gear -- it breathes much more life into the world.

MMM is awesome anyway, so you should check it out if you haven't already. Do be advised though, that the looting NPCs plugin does come with a bit of a performance hit, the severity of which depending mainly on your processor.

So, any suggestions for the helmet deal I mentioned above on the previous page? I really thought this was more common, but perhaps I was wrong?

Greetings!

I know this has been addressed, probably multiple times. But I appear to have done something that caused some helmets to be a little screwed up. For example, the Dread Armor helmet, and some of the IC guards' helmets... they appear to have gaps between the segments, like they were not quite put together correctly. I don't think it's a mod conflict per se, but something I installed in the wrong order, perhaps? I don't know. This seemed an appropriate place to ask, though... thanks for this thread!

veg

Not sure why this is in the Mod Detectives thread, but the Dread Helmet looks fine in my game and I can't see how it possible could be messed up like that, except if you're running an ancient version of OOO when it perhaps had this issue. Either you have the mesh and texture in the correct folders or you don't. Anyway, can you take a screenshot of the issue and link to it in the OOO thread?

Well, let's see... I put it in this thread because it's not just OOO helmets (at least I don't think it is). As I said, I have seen this in other places, such as IC guards. I've made the mistake of posting in a mod's thread only to find it didn't have anything to do with that mod. Since I am not sure which mod(s) might contribute to this, the "Mod Detectives" thread seemed logical.

I'll be happy to put up some screenshots later when I get home, but for the time being I will link them here and not in the OOO thread. They will be of as many different examples as I can find, not just the Dread Armor helmet. Maybe it was a mistake to list that one as an example; I don't believe this is limited to OOO and I did not intend for that mod to become the focus of my query.

Thanks. I'll provide more info later,
veg

EDIT (so as not to take up any more posts):
I am terribly sorry. I thought I was looking for a mod, namely one that corrected a helmet problem. I thought I had seen something like that in the past (I guess I was just dead wrong about that) and was asking about it. I wasn't trying to troubleshoot in the detectives thread. Really, I wasn't.

The Mod Detectives thread is for finding mods, not trouble shooting, which is why your post was questioned. I'd suggest either creating your own thread for this or take it in PM's since Ark is willing to help you.

Repost your problem in your own thread with pics and load order that way you do not clutter up thread with troubleshooting etc..

Hi there im doing some things on cs, but im troubled finding one certain object.
I want to add an column, like the ones in roman/greek style found around imperial city and imperial structures like shrines; however, any object that have such columns is a complete nif, i havent found any individual column, it came bundled with some else structure.

Can someone help me? Thanks in advice.

Are you looking for a mod that has separate columns or just need help with the CS?

I used to have a mod that allowed you to cast a low cost spell that put a signpost where you wanted it with information like, "Dungeon Cleared", "Quest related", etc. etc. Anyone know what the name of it is and if I can still get it?

I don't know about a spell, but theNiceOne's Map Marker Overhaul will let you mark things like that on your map plus a LOT more. Check it out http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1085073-relz-map-marker-overhaul/.

I found http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30477, but one can also look into http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1081671-list-of-modders-resources/ or one of these two link from ORE: http://oblivionsrealestate.com/Resources/Architecture/New_Models/new_models.html and http://oblivionsrealestate.com/Resources/Architecture/Vanilla_Modified/vanilla_modified.html

Are there mods that let you run your own business? An example would be Wayfarers Rest for Morrowind.

Try looking into http://www.gamesas.com/?showtopic=931523
