No ideas on Hammerfel in my last post?

So far, the only expansions to Cyrodiil available is Elsweyr. Nothing else released?

Any mods that add high quality bird chirping and such to forests, similar to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SAOBRXPVs7M video? I wonder why Bethesda didn't include those sounds in the final game, they were very good.

Hello all,

decided to dig up this thread from the grave by asking a question(duh):

is there a mod that allows to wield staffs one handed and have a sword out? Gandalf style?

Thanks

heh, this thread never died imperialguard....

anyways, to answer your question, look up Defensive Staves on the TESNexus. Theres several mods made for it, including patches. Not only does it add what you want, it also adds normal staffs that match the weapon materials and staffs that act like a torch (ie lighting). Very cool indeed.

I especially like how the mod varies staffs using vanilla stuff and that it's also on NPCs and other item lists. It's a lot better than the plain ole rip-a-sappling-outta-the-ground staffs you normally see.

Anyone come up with some better meshes for plates, and possibly a few other "round" cluttery objects?

Everything's looking great at the moment... except those. Literally, everything else is fine. Good, even! To my eyes, anyway.

I'm pretty sure I read something about this kind of mod / replacer, somewhere...

Can someone link me to the mod that stops you from being able to take everything from a guild once you join? I know it exists but I can't for the life of me find it.

Hey, does anyone know if theres a mod that makes staffs real weapons? In the game they are just like extra spells and it begs the quesiton. WHy use spells fi you already have a great staff for that? So Im looking for a mod that removes that and instead makes them into a real weapon kinda like a bashing stick with the same stats as a sword so it can keep up with them..

Hmm, this looks like a good place to try to find a mod I've been looking for!

Is there a mod out there that is compatible with Realistic Fatigue and Realistic Health, which requires the player to eat and drink regularly to keep up their health?

@billop - unnecessary violence does that (even the currently available version)

@BFG99 - have you tried skycaptain's simple essentials?

Can you help me find a mod that replaces the foot sound of the crocodile daedroth.

Hopefully, some good sound that substitutes that awful hollow-barrel stomp foot sound can also substitute the sound of the Akatosh mount dragon...

I know it was said in early threads but which mod makes everyone in the game NOT level up as your character levels up?

What's best/most stable/reliable hotkey spellcasting mod?

Best is subjective.

I use a combination of cyclers...most notably Hot Key Cyclers http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=17402 . I use this for spells and weapons,

I also use ANB Item Switcher http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/search.php . I use only the ammo switcher from this one for my arrows but it has a few others you may consider.

I was also using Super Hotkeys http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22326 . This mod can extend the number of hotkey wheels to whatever you want (unlimited and configurabl) and is very customizable. I don't use this this one currently only because with the above two I don't need it (Plus I had a habit of forgetting which "wheel" was active and it was pissing me off when I tried casting a heal spell and I was on the "wrong" hotkey wheel.)

All three of these are stable and I haven't had any issues with any of them in my game of 320+ mods.

One word of advice..read the included respective read me files for each to set up properly.

What's best/most stable/reliable hotkey spellcasting mod?

I've been using http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30673 lately. I really like it, but there is one small issue. The things I like are 1) it seems to always work, and 2) you don't have to hold down combinations of keys; hit a selector, and it remembers. That's a HUGE plus over ones that make you hold down a couple of keys while activating a hotkey. The small issue I have is that it does not display any messages for when something is equipped. For weapons, no problem. The wepon icon shows me what I've got equipped. But spells, on the other hand, are more problematic. So many use that same generic spell icon that the icon doesn't help you. Actually seeing the message when you select a spell would be more useful.

Still, I like it, and am currently using it. I replaced Super Hotkeys with it (Super Hotkeys did not behave consistently for me). But as always, YMMV.

Thanks for those, but i "only" need a mod that will let me cast a specific spell by press of a button. Like 1>heal, 2>fireball, etc. I found http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12244 on nexus but it was updated in 2007. Is that my only choice or there are some newer and improved available?

OBSE version which is a little cleaner.

I've been using hotkey casting for years and it's never given me a problem. does exactly what it's supposed to do perfectly well.

Thanks, it's kinda misleading that it says to use updated version which is half a year older then it >>.

Hmm... Are you sure about that? I am curious about this too, as I am still not 100% happy w/ my hotkey setup. I downloaded both, and the "new" one is indeed more recent. The old one's ESP is dated 2007-06-04, whereas the newer one (v3.5 by Marty81) is dated 2007-09-02. HeX_0ff, which do you use?
