Mod Detectives 117

Hiya!

Im looking that Hud/Compass/UI mod that everyones using, the one that is like see through and its black and not gold like the vanilla. And the POIs are little circles and not big ole' squares.

I have BT mod but the Quest marker disabler doesnt work at all. I see everyone with this one (read above) and Im filled with envy cause I cant find it anywhere! Is it just a version of DanifiedUI? If so Im going to slap myself...

Thanks in advance.

Everyone is using different UI mods. A screenshot would be helpful. You can disable the compass markers through one of the Tweak Assorted option in the Bashed Patch rebuild dialog.

That looks like it! And I also know that this particular mod changed the font to a much more fluid font, it looks much better.

And again its one that changes POIs to little circles.

Also, do you mean to say that I need to DL WryeBash to disable the Quest markers? Or is that a mod also?

That screenshot only shows one part of that users UI replacement, not a full overhaul (i.e., DarNified UI.) It does however, show one of my favorites, Immersive Interface.

Wrye Bash is the most expansive mod management utility available for Oblivion. That tweak to which I was referring can be enabled via its Bashed Patch.

Wrye Bash - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=wrye_bash
Finishing the Installation - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=finishing_the_installation

Do you have a picture of the circular map markers? Might it be Elven Map Redux?

Both UI mods I mentioned above are linked here - http://tesivpositive.animolious.com/?page=downloading_mods#UI

Edit: wording

Edit: Actually, those status bars belong to one of the big overhauls, likely Darnified UI. DarkUidDarN may offer that reskin as well, but Darnified is the most likely candidate for any "interesting" UI customization. DarkUIdDarn is based on it, obviously, so, ignoring the dark appearance of the the "Dark" spin-off, they share many of the same features.

AHA! It IS Danified UI *slaps self in the face* Probably coupled with Elven map redux and thats how I saw the circles.

Well how about that...

Thanks for you help, man. Thats twice now today ;)

Here's one for you. I *hate* the official campaign in Oblivion. Loathe it. In fact, I'd rather play a game in which it never takes place or is long in the past. My question is, as much fun as wandering around can be, what are some epic level quests spanning multiple levels that I can install to take the place of the main quest line to keep me moving through the world and feel like I'm actually doing something?

I highly recommend http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=26219 if you haven't tried it already. Playable from level one, expansive and well-written. :)

Yes, Leicher Death Dealer Armor. Do you want to know if it's available separately? Not sure who made it judging by the readme - but, of course, StarX would know.

Is there a mod that lets me store spells so I don't have the clutter of a hundred spells? Something that is user friendly and not a hassle or glitch-filled.

Hello there! I'm trying to find a mod that just modifies the weird autolevel in Oblivion to make it more challenging/realistic and the leveled lists. Is there any mod that just does that? I tried Francesco's, but the .exe doesn't work in my computer. Is there any manual install/omod version of Francesco's or any simmilar mod?

Thanks!

Strange that his exe doesnt work... have you tried re-downloading?

I would definitely suggest Marts Monster Mod (MMM) which, for me, has made Oblivion worth playing for a few more years ;P

Hi Im looking for a mod that allows the PC to write (type) in blank books or scrolls or parchment by using quills and ink or whatever.

I found http://elderscrolls.filefront.com/file/Book_Writing;72910x#1079074 but the comments suggest that its not exactly what Im looking for...

Any suggestions?

EDIT: By the way, Kragenirs Death Quest is epic... I recommend it as well.

I'm looking for cool vampire voices, i.e. taunts, powerattacks etc. Guess some vampire mods includes custom voices, but as I never have vamp chars I'm sort of out of the loop regarding them so tips would be appreciated.

Did ya look into brucevayne's http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12588? Worth suggesting on looking into the description for his link in shsforums on other voice acting.

A better looking version is in http://www.invision.tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/files/file/436-serentin-vampire-armors/ Though the skirt is crimson there.

are there any mods that add "modern" clothing like hoodies, t-shirts and denim jeans? I can't find one, other than a few of Hentai's mods that don't really suit my taste. Thanks!

Hey guys, I was looking for a mod that removes all the fires from around the Oblivion gates after you finish the MQ, I find it rather odd that those fires can burn for years on end lol.
