Mod Detectives 119

Hey, Basically i am looking to see if there is a mod out there that will, rebuild a room or restock it (slowly over time) if it has been cleaned by your friendly thief.

Say if you oh i don't know, out of boredom, fire an area effect spell off and send a few dozen books flying. i want a mod that will put those items back in there place (honestly its been a long time since i played and just restarted playing a week ago, maybe the game does this? i haven't noticed yet) or if i go into a clothing store, find a nice pair of boots and take them, or maybe just clean out the wine rack, i would like to know if there is a mod that will restock those items into the shop over time (longer time for more expensive items i hope)

Most cells will respawn after three days, so if it gets messed up or you steal stuff it will be cleaned and items will be back in place if returning later on. It won't happen slowly over time, though. You could check out http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25536, but it isn't quite what you're looking for.

Hello,

Is there a mod that adds the adamantium armor from Morrowind? Preferably with a quest to obtain it (similar to the Morrowind version). That said, are there any other mods that add (superior) armour that's obtainable via quests?

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28245 includes a broad selection of Morrowind armors for Oblivion, including the adamantium set.

I have a question, is there a mod that helps to aim better with a bow? Very vague question i realize that. I have grown fond of Duke Patricks - Near Miss Magic And Arrows Alert The Target mod, but it also means that your first shot needs to count...and i have found out that i am not a sure shot with a bow in Oblivion with my previous character. :D

So if there is a mod that will help me aim better with a bow over long distances in Oblivion then i would be grateful.

I remember downloading a mod which removed the lame effects for enchanted weapons, but I can't seem to find it now. Anybody know which mod I'm talking about?

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37157 is said to have a lot of dialog. Can't say I've tried it, yet.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15200 comes with a very elaborate quest system, and also requires the Underdark mod.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=17743 also includes an elaborate quest system, requires the Underdark, and briefly features Viconia (though you don't need that mod to run this). It's not as combat-intensive as Viconia, however.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25530 gives you a personal djinn, complete with lamp and a few powers, and a great house. Extensive, difficult quest system.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16251 has no quest system, but she's attractive, and deadly in combat.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6977 is another quest-heavy mod that offers you...a dremora companion. More interesting than it sounds, trust me. ;)

And don't forget http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29652. Let's you send companions to different locations, order groups of companions with one click, teach/remove spells and skills, resurrect and track companion activities.

My new personal favorite (apart from Vilja, of course) is http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37157. As he is so new, Vilja doesn't have any unique interaction with him yet, but there will be - Sylar (Marek) and I will be working together on incorporating it in both mods.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8256, http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=8964, http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=11684 are my other favorite companions, easy to use, well functioning and not unbalancing the game too much (well, Rhianna has a weapon that you might want to remove from her to make her less powerful).
Edit: should have mentioned http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9926 as well (could be a bit "powerful" if you don't use FCOM etc).

I still don't know of a mod but since you are sounding increasingly desperate ;) :

Have you considered reducing your mouse speed (or whatever)? Better yet, get a mouse that allows you to adjust this on the fly - slow for bow aiming, normal the rest of the time.

I remember you said you have a mod to increase arrow speed - how much does it increase by? Wrye Bash has presets for up to x3 but you can enter in your own number. Perhaps you could try x5?

Good luck with your search.

LoL i know, but playing a Arcane Archer and then not being able to make a good shot over long distances does not sit well with me. It may look like i am over doing it, but it is just how i see it. :)

As for the mod i am using that would be Mighty Bows and i thought it increased the speed of arrows but it does not. It does increase the range a arrow can travel a lot and severall other things usefull to my current char.

As for the Mouse speed and arrow speed, i could try that and see if that improves things a bit. And i will indeed continue searching, thanks.

There's one that I read about, one that I hope is out there, and one that I need a recommendation on...

1. There was a mod that I read about that added traveling NPCs. There was a screenshot with the description that had a group of Imperial Legionaries in a pub on inn of some sort. I can't recall whether the mod added NPCs other than members of the Legion or not.

2. I wanted to find a mod that added the various diverse zombie and skeleton resources to the leveling lists. I know a couple of the overhaul mods do this, but I was hoping to instead just get a few different mods that add creatures to the leveling lists and merge them together in Bash.

3. It'd be nice to know which magic mod increases effectiveness of spells and magicka without adding spells that don't fit into the lore. I remember using Mighty Magick back in the day, but apparently that's been reported to cause issues now?

Any advice on any of this would be extremely appreciated. Thanks muchly.

Not http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=418931&id=5771, by any chance?

I used to run MM, as well, then found out that over time, it bloats saved games. Not by a great deal at any one time, but they do add up.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12466 adds some spells, but keeps well within lore. More to the point, it has a thorough INI file that lets you determine the effectiveness of many spells, their duration, how they affect skills gained, etc. Well worth it.

Ah, fantastic, thank you!

Two out of three down. Anybody have any ideas on the zombie/skeleton one?

I seem to remember one that does skeletons too, haven't got time to search now but possibly by the author of Vvardenfell Imports.

edit. I was thinking of the 'Mythic' series of retexture mods.

As there's no Mod Psychics thread going currently, I'll ask here. OOO has a boss with a unique two-handed sword, but it uses the model/textures for the Silver Claymore. I wonder if anyone has a tip on a sword that it could be replaced with? It's named Silvery Falls and the boss has Ivory white armor, so preferably it should be 2H, silvery/white and look rather "noble".

I ended up using VagabondAngel's http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16344 for that but now I'm looking for a replacer for Prince Xyval Vyktur's Fury. It's a unique weapon but uses the model/texture for a Daedric Warhammer. Ideally I'd love to have the same Daedric retexture that is used for his Daedric Prince armor (like orange Daedric) but I'm open for suggestions on suitable Daedric twohanded blunts or retextures.

Hey again, I read in a readme that a mod called Storms & Sound would go well with it, All Natural. I can't seem to find it though.

Thanks darkstone!

I still haven't had any luck finding a mod that adds the beast races of skeletons other than the overhauls. Could anyone point me in the right direction?

I am killing myself for not remembering but I once installed a mod (more like a patch) that did some miscellaneous tweaks, one of them was changing the default font for the main menu and books, I need it again but I just can't remember what it was called, and I've tried googling it with no luck

Anybody has an idea what patch/mod is the one I am looking for?

Wrye Bash's Bashed Patch? It has Darnified books and lots of other options, besides handling leveled lists etc.

That's not it, but thanks anyway, if all else fails I'll used a bashed patch to change the look of the books, but that was not the only thing the patch I am looking for did

Here is a a screen shot of one of the custom fonts (the only one I have) if it helps someone recognize the mod
