Mod Detectives 119

Post » Mon Apr 25, 2011 7:37 am

How many magic overhauls are out there that either require, or are compatible with, both LAME and Supreme Magicka? Preferably Midas Magic as well.

I only know of one, offhand. Well, two. But one that requires all three, and ties them together into a "new" system, more or less.

Looking for more, if there any.

edit: Also, curious about any magic mods that reduce the ridiculous power of both Illusion and Conjuration. Or even one, would be better than nothing. Other than ROM, that is.

I'm looking for somewhere to display armor and weapons... primarily a place where I can put 40-50 of reznod's mannequin's in one hall.

my current "display room" in castle wolfspike is getting too crowded - as evidenced in these screenshots: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1149164-moded-oblivion-screenshot-thread-274/page__view__findpost__p__17028721

Consider the http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35720#fileanchor. I find it offers a lot of display possibilities, and has two rooms with plenty of platforms.

Consider, too, http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=31218. But that's entirely up to you. :)

Hey!

I'm looking for non-overhaul mods that change the level scaling of the enemies. I know about Strategy Master's http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23993 but that's incompatible with nGCD.

Any other options out there?

Cheers!

Something like the following?
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16843 < Overhaul of Face Replacer of NPC
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13444 < Make Argonian style similar to Morrowind's Argonian Head.
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5288 < Make Female NPC a looker rather than an alien.
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22787. Giant overhaul that pretty much give the whole game world that anime vibe.
http://www.tesnexus.com/modules/members/index.php?id=534078 < Could be use with all the mod mention on the top of this list; give some Nords some beard

I am not certain but i seem to remember that sometime last year some one mentioned a mod that changed the reflect damage on NPC and creatures to spell absorption or along those lines. But for the love of god i can not remember the name of the mod and author? Does any one know which one this might be?

Thanks in advance. :)

Is there a mod that lets you choose which particular Sigil Stone you want when you grab them? Or some other way of letting you get the one you want somehow?

If you're OK with "somehow" then just use the console ;) The codes of the various sigil stones are listed in the UESP Wiki. Admittedly not a very immersive way of getting what you want. I don't know if there is a mod for choosing sigil stones upon taking them.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm doing. I meant a mod addressing it in some other fashion (perhaps a Sigil Stone merchant you could swap Sigil Stones with or something). Before starting to use the console I reloaded a save until I got what I wanted - and it could take forever. Now I take the one I get and then I "switch" it via the console, i.e. add the one I want via the console and disable the one I actually got. It's been an "issue" for me from day one really - but I seem to be rather alone in being annoyed by the randomness as I haven't found any mods addressing it ever. Basically, I think the risk vs. reward for Oblivion planes is completely off as the major reward for doing them (besides doing the MQ of course) is completely random. And with Midas it's even more annoying as you need particular Sigil Stone types for almost all its powerful spells. Guess I have to stick with the console.

Yeah I perfectly know what you're saying, have done it myself via the console. I could easily foresee a little mod that intercepts the space bar push when grabbing it and for example offers you 3 stones to choose from, or a specific one, or add a random chance to obtain a stronger one.... Maybe for the first gate in Kvatch one should receive an extra reward... maybe the magic traders could be enabled to swap them for you.... I could foresee many things there... Maybe if we could convince TheNiceOne to look into this, he'd know how to do it.... :)

Sorry for the off-topic digression, I'm finished.

Once upon a time I had a plain, unenchanted, simple-as-can-be quarterstaff mod. I believe they were for sale in the IC, and came in a variety of flavours, but all keeping the same simple look. Alas, I can't find the mod anywhere among my old files, and searching on TES:N hasn't managed to turn it up. Does anyone have an idea what this was called, or where I might find it? Or, any other mods that add very plain, simple 2h blunt staves (I have a buncha things like Armamentarium installed, so hoping to find something similar amongst them too)?

Thanks in advance. :)

I'm looking for an alternative to OOO that ONLY adds new items but none of the other heavy-weight content.

Also can anyone recommend some new lands mods?

Only new lands mod I have used, but by god is it amazingly well done. Follows Lore very well, and even adds more Khajiit Subspecies to play as, and encounter. Not to mention Two(If not more) Player housing, A Camal and Elephant mount, and more. Worth the download, I say.
