Can anyone suggest me a mod that makes all npcs looking better (I've tried TNR and XEO)

This is kind of a late response, but seeing only one person has suggested anything above, I have one more to offer. There's a series of race-modular NPC face improving mods called "Better Looking X" where X is the race, by a modder called Legendman on TesNexus. Search his name in the author field to find the mods quickly.

So far these only cover Dark Elves, Wood Elves, Redguards, and Dremora(?). I haven't used them but the screens look good. Should be compatible with TNR or XEO via Bashed Patch and proper load order. They're very new so likely not many people have seen them yet, and they include unique features such as tattoos. Descriptions are also good, based on the screens and descriptions alone they look like good quality face mods.

----------------------------------

That said, I have a new request / search in progress. Unique head textures for males, with an imperial/wood elf/nord base. Specifically I'm looking for young-ish with scruff or dark facial hair built in. This is for personal use, not for a mod, so I don't mind suggestions that are from partners/playable character mods, not simply packaged as a face resource.

I've tried most of Urrl's, but I'm using RMB v4 and the neck seam with any of them is extreme. So preferably Robert's Male compatible as well, but if you're not sure, point it out to me anyway.

Slumberous - Search for "Falmer" on TesNexus :icecream:

Also, Daventry - I don't know if it's kosher on these boards to edit a post, and then repost the original content of the your first post further down the page to draw attention to what you're looking for (especially when you're clearly editing for that explicit purpose and do it repeatedly). I do know, though, that the Mod Detectives thread is not for requesting new models to be made, but rather for directions to existing mods that you may have seen but not be able to locate, or otherwise know (at least probably) exist. The OP in this thread clearly states the thread's purpose.

You are allowed to make your own thread to make a request, though. Use the [REQ] tag in the subject line.

Hmmm..Well I made a character that is dark...I haven't ever played the "Troubled-child" role before, so I was hoping to become a vampire at one point...Well, I happened to of contracted the disease, and now I realize, I need to find a good vampire mod. Not the vampire mod that which is of unspeakable nature (Voldemort!) that starts with an "Un" and ends with a "ness".
What are other popular vampire mods? I would like my character to still be pretty after becoming a vampire instead of disgusting ugly. And I have been a vanilla vampire before and that is just boring, so...A good vampire overhaul would be nice.

By far the best one out there is the "unspeakable" one, and I think you'll get the same answer from everyone about that. I don't think you need to pay for the voice files nowadays either.

That one has a lot of problems from what I understand. I'd be cautious when using it and read up on those issues first.

It doesn't have any problems that I've come across, and I've been using it since the Beta testing stage.

Admittedly, there were a few originally, however they've all been ironed out as long as you install it correctly, etc.

Well I did have it installed for awhile, but I took it out because there seemed to be a lack of gravity applied to my character when she was hit. I didn't know what mod to blame but the Voldemort mod - though just the other day I realized that only happens when my fatigue is low, which means I am about 80% certain my gravity issue is due to Realistic Fatigue.
Back on topic though, I had the Voldemort mod installed and I had some issues - like I didn't install all the meshes. Vampires that I kill would wind up becoming glowing yellow blocks with an astoundingly large exclamation point in it (I know that is a result from a missing texture)...I guess I could take a look over the folders again and see what I am missing, but...that's such a hassle and I don't feel like it

Oh and they don't ask for anything now if you want to get the Voldemort mod.

Lack of Gravity is definitely not from the 'Voldemort' mod, lol. To install it you really have to make sure you follow the instructions on the main page.

Anyway, I'm after a mod that affects melee weapons similar to the way Duke Patrick's Combat Archery affects bows - they get given a damage amount based on how heavy (?) they are. At the moment, I have DPCA installed and my bow that I have at the moment does something like 180 damage per hit, but my Ebony Longsword with a Lightning for 20 damage enchant is only hitting for 30 ...

Thanks,

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=32651.
From the readme:

DamageMultiplier gives a uniform adjustment to damage done both to the player, and caused by the player. It works for all kinds of damage - spells, weapons, creatures, hand to hand damage etc.

What it doesn't do is affect damage between NPC's/creatures only combat directly involving the player.

This topic was discussed recently here (or maybe at nexus). A quick search on Phitts Phighting Phixes might be of interest.

Hey im looking for a mod that makes for some better water textures and graphics, Ive been using Natural Water by maxtael but if decided to go in another direction due to using Weather: All Natural.

Also was wondering if there is a utility out there that can check which mods youve got installed and determine whether or not an upgrade has been released. I understand something like this is unneccesary but using it would help me keep a cleaner game.

I use Enhanced Water. You can see my comparison video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gghs8eQ4OCI.

Also, The Oblivion Mod Manager Extended allows you to use an internet connection to check for mod updates. You can find it on http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=32277.

Didn't really want to start a new thread for this, hope this isn't too far off the rules.

Is there a mod that changes the Default Bow Crosshair, the rather small and gold color causes it to blend into scenery too often?

Thanks for any help.

Is there a mod that adds gargoyles? By which, I mean static ones, built into or onto architecture. :)

Though, it might be neat if they were so, but could also take flight, upon whatever cue(s)...

Either way, anything like that, and if not, any chance at all of it being made? :icecream:

WAC has something like that:

-Gargoyles of WAC are now statues and will not move nor attack anybody but yourself, and only if you get too close. They have 5 new idles poses. Each are hand placed in Forts and Ruins, and many will hopefully blend in enough and due to their, they can surprise you from time to time. More Gargoyles placement in Dungeons and Caves to be done.

Huh. Again with the amazing timing. Only just decided to try WAC again, and asked this question around the same time. Funny. :D

Anyway, thanks! :foodndrink:

I just ran into one of those gargoyles - came out of a fort and it was standing at attention like a weird monster statue - which is what I thought it was until I realized my detect life shader was making it glow - got close and it attacked. Not near as tough as the OOO versions though.

Are the ones in Lore Creature Expansion also initially in statue form? I know they have the ability to go back and forth between the two forms, but I couldn't tell from the mod description.

Haven't tried Lore Creature Expansion but not if they are set up as in OOO and MMM, which also use them. Those have a paralyse on self spell, with buffs and restore health, but that's the closest they come to statue form. Sounds really cool with them set up as in WAC - but then they basically must be hand placed as in WAC I'd guess. Man, I'd love to check out WAC...

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=39135&id=4191. Oh this is a cute mod, I believe I'll grab it too. ^_^ The tombstone one isn't available though.

When in doubt, first search the Web. I used Ixquick, and Portable Tombstones popped up at once. It's not available through the modder's website, unfortunately, but it's on a Czech fansite, and http://oblivion.bonusweb.cz/plugins/items/plugin02090615.html?sablona=plugin-download. Note: I haven't tried this download of it, so I can't vouch for it, but the site certainly *looks* real.

Sorry for the late response. Thank you both for finding these mods! I had tried with google, but wasn't aware of Ixquick. Seems to be a decent search engine.

A new request...

1. I am looking for a mod that adds a resurrect spell.
2. A mod to use if I want all NPCs to be non-essential.
3. A mod that removes all spawning of all NPCs and creatures.

Basically, I don't want anything to be unrealistic and come back to life unless I make it with a resurrect spell.

Thanks all!
