Mod Detectives 121

I've been looking for a good mod that changes the third person perspective to be more usable. I've tried the Ultimate Third Person Camera, which actually changes the first person, despite the name. I liked the look, but using ranged spells resulted in too much inaccuracy, especially when using it with DarNified UI's crosshair. Is there any better option that I'm not aware of?

I use U3P,so far I found it is the best one.Put DarNified in first ,then U3P and let U3P overwrite the crosshair.I use the over the left shoulder and found the crosshair is best used like this: the farther away they are,the closer to the middle hash mark; the closer they are,the further left hashmark. My accuracy with bows and magic improved drastically once I got that right.

I have looked for a mod that put "fires" on the altars in the chapels. http://cdnstatic.gamesas.com/akqacms/files/tes/screenshots/oblivion_screenshots_0000s_0000s_0000s_0007_8.jpg but I could not find it. Any ideas?

Is there any mod that removes the cue for combat music, allowing the town/dungeon/etc music to continue playing even if the player enters combat mode?

Better Music System mod allows such setting, among many other things.

Is there a mod that removes the lockpicking minigame, making it purely character skill based?

Okay, I'm a FCOM user and I'm trying to keep things safe by just sticking with FCOM and a few other mods. Couple of requests:

-Quest rewards level independent mod that'll work with FCOM
-Magic mod with sustained spells. Making it so that mages actually work in the hard FCOM world is a bonus, but sustained spells is important.
-Any other recommendations for a returnee like me :D

1. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=13536
2. Only the original Mighty Magick has sustained spells overall AFAIK and it's not recommended to use as it has some issues IIRC, such as save game bloating. With Supreme Magicka you can have sustained summons, but not sustained spells for other schools.
3. Several, so it depends a lot on what you're looking for. Realistic Fatigue for one.

Aha, I thought it had much longer durations than in vanilla for such spells rather. Good to know.

Any ideas on a source of this mod? Even these meshes in general? I <3 that aesthetic.

Or any similarly ornate armors for that matter. :)

Better Cities has an option to toggle cities as open, removing the loading screens to enter the cities. Or you can just get Open Cities directly. If you are talking about a mod that removes all loading screens, doesn't exist. I honestly think the game wouldn't work even if someone did try and make one.

I am curious about which http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/images/7698-3-1277715115.jpg this image is from. Anyone know?

It won't let me edit for some reason. I actually found the map listed at the very end of the description for the mod I grabbed that image from. Serves me right for not reading the entire thing. lol

http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10832 has no clipping because the robes make the armor underneath invisible and give the character the appropriate armor rating through scripting.

I'm one of those people who likes to collect lots of stuff as well as use lots of mods that add even more stuff and have found myself without a house suitable to my needs. Really just needs to be big and bright with LOTS of display space so you'd think I could find a dozen or so but so far have had little luck (Been looking through Planet Elder Scrolls, TesNexus and Oblivion Real Estate) Hoping another pair of eyes will make a difference.

Where can I get a mod that will give me a sort of filter effect on my screen? I've seen some in videos, different image effects and such, but I don't know what to search for. "Filter" doesn't seem to be a very useful keyword.

Oblivion Graphics Extender. Check this, the first page of the very forum that you're on right now, for release threads for both OBGE (the base mod) and OBGE Liquid Water, if you're feeling a tiny bit more adventurous.

As always, be sure to read the OP of a given release thread, and follow the instructions therein. Same goes for mod readmes - read them! :read: ;)

Best of luck. Oh, and if you just want to alter screenshots (i.e., after you've already taken them), maybe try something like Photoshop (expensive), or GIMP (freeware). Or whatever else you prefer.

I recommend Glenvar Castle as it has a treasure area with pedestals for mannequins from reznods or the like. Also Bedwyr and Hoarfrost are rather nice

Ancient Towers by WillieSea.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16308

Verona House Bloodlines (I prefer the fixed version updated by Arthmoor)

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=36389

Ancient Towers is easier to get because you don't have to complete the main quest and then the VHB quest to get the huge mansion that is part of the reward.

On one of my previous installs i had a mod that added visible exteriors to houses. You could look trough windows and see outside, however it seems i don't have that anymore. Does anyone remember the name of that mod?

And thanks for the Morrowind Lockpicking mod, exactly what i was looking for :goodjob:
