Mod Detectives XX

This may not be the right post for it, but I have a mod that's simply titled "magica.esp" [sic] and I have no idea what it does, can't find a readme for it, nor do I have any idea where I downloaded it from. Thus I'm hesitant to disable it since who the hell knows what it's doing.
Any way I can figure out what this mod does, short of tracking it down? (And trust me, googling magica.esp did not help.)

Yes, here is the mod with readme included: http://www.mediafire.com/file/a88dn3pu89chh8o/magica_1125_2.zip

And the readme itself:
Eldar: Manacost v 1.0

This plug-in reintroduce the magic system of daggerfall:
The higher your skills the cheaper the cost of the spell.

To start the script go to balmora. A message should warn you that the script is started.
When you cast a spell this plug-in will give you back some mana according to your proficiens in magic skills.
The formula used is
regained=0.9*(manaspent*(sumofmagicskills/600))

N.B. This plug-in do not allow the player to cast spell that cost more than its current magicka. It simple regive some mana back to him.
So if your mana is 300 you cannot cast a spell that cost 303. But you can cast a spell that (usually) cost 260 and lose only 26 mana points.

Hope that helps. :)

Anyone has a copy/link to Tommy Khajiit's Mages Guild Teleport Platform? I always seem to misplace the archive and loose the link...

I am still looking for the fixed leveled lists version or Sri's Alchemy and in addition I am looking for the fixed leveled lists version of Bloodmoon Extras. I PM'd Dragon32 for this one awhile ago but he hasn't responded, so I figure I may as well ask here. Now I'm going to PM Wrye about that fix from Sri's Alchemy, but I doubt I'll have any luck there so if anybody has it, please share it!

Yes, thanks. I'm planning to use it with Endrek's Sixth House mod, together with http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8614 and Mortal Guards (in ManaUser's Mini Mods). Vvardenfell will look...changed. :D

Edit: It seems New Vivec's Ashmask would conflict with the Sixth House mod.

Ah, sorry about that, I don't use the Sixth House mod, so I didn't know it altered the Ashmask. I'll make a compatibility patch for it soon however, so be on the lookout for it.

The Sri Alchemy LL fix seems elusive so if you have any success, I would appreciate a copy too.
I can help with the Bloodmoon Extras plugin v 0.2 - Fixed levelled lists if you care to PM me.

Srikandi patch: http://www.sendspace.com/file/9h97ej
There's also this: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=20882

That last one is actually the LL fix one that several of us have been looking for.
Here is the readme:

Sri's Alchemy (Bloodmoon Edition) Remixed!
11/12/2008
Adeliedreams - adeliedreams@yahoo.com
-Credits-

* First and foremost, this would not exist without the excellent work of Srikandi.
* Wrye for the levelled list patch.

-The basics-
This is a modification of Srikandi's Alchemy - Bloodmoon version. This mod installs over the original .esp file from Sri's Alchemy BM, original meshes/textures are NOT included.

* Corrects a dialog spelling error.
* Ash Yams now provide the effects listed in the spreadsheet.
* Wickwheat effects reverted to vanilla ("Restore Health" as first effect, instead of "Recall")
* All weights have been modified to a more consistent system. Flowers from Mournhold no longer weigh a pound each, etc.
* Cleaned out two container references that are likely to conflict with herbalism mods depending on load order.
* Cleaned out scripts that update the vanilla levelled lists - included Wrye's levelled list patch for correct functionality with levelled list mergers.

-Requirements-
Tribunal and Bloodmoon expansions.
Srikandi's Alchemy (Bloodmoon Edition): http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=1333

-Installation-
1. If you do not already have Srikandi's Alchemy (Bloodmoon Edition), download and install that mod first.
2. Replace Sris_Alchemy_BM.esp with the file provided in this archive.
3. If you are using Wrye's "Sri Alchemy BM List Patch.esp" - disable the patch in your mod list.
4. Use Wrye Mash to update the load list and repair any existing saves.

-Details - Container Reference Removal -
Srikandi's alchemy included container references for Slough Ferns and one out of six variations of Belladona plants. These just adjusted the quantity of ingredients provided by the plants, but would override attached scripts used in herbalism mods if Sri's Alchemy was loaded later in the load order. Removal clears this issue up for anyone that may be massaging their load order to make sure Sri's ingredient changes come after other potential ingredient changes.

-Details - Weight Adjustments -
Most plant ingredients adjusted to 0.1, with the exception of Ash Yams which were left at the vanilla weight of 0.5. No more 1lb flowers from Mournhold.
Most mushroom ingredients were capped at 0.2.
Animal meat raised to at least 1.0. (Ogrim and Durzog meat weigh more, most hearts also weigh more)
Crab meat left at 0.5 - Rat meat lowered to 0.5.
Animal Hides, Skins, and pelts weigh at least 1.0.
Bones weigh at least 0.2.
This results in many ingredients being lighter, with some ingredients ending up heavier (in particular animal/daedra hides and meat).

-Details - Levelled Lists -

Scripts that directly alter the levelled lists have been removed. Merged in Wrye's Levelled List patch to replace this functionality.

Thanks, Alexxx , for that link. :goodjob:

Is there a mod for House Hlaalu that does what Rise of House Telvanni did for House Telvanni? I tried searching everywhere and can't find anything that even adds a little to it. Also the first link to Morrowind Modding History in the original post sends you to a 404.

I'm looking for the mod that removes the plazas from Vivec, and makes them exteriors. I think it is called Vivec Expansion, Vivec Better Plazas, but I can't remember.

There are two or three mods like it, but there is only one I want.

What the heck mod are people using to get real-time shadows in their screenshots? It looks glorious. Does it have much of a performance hit.

Hrnchamd has put together these shadows, check http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1106159-shelter-from-magnus-blaze/
All the pertinent links you'll need are in the first post there.

Performance hit depends mostly on your Hardware specs.

Hi, I'm looking for Dragons Breech and Patch by Lady Eternity & Proudfoot. I can't figure where it's hosted atm. It's a total TC mod size +300 MB and as far is I known in beta/alpha stage, but I think it was quit popular. All download links I was able too find point too an ufrealms.net domain which has been closed for long time by now. I really hope it's hosted somewhere else.
In addition I'm also looking for Twin Lamps Tavern v3.0 previous hosted here:
http://web.archive.org/web/20080312140448/hosted.planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/ral-jiktar/downloads.htm
Forget the last request I was able too download the file from that Wayback Machine link, and the file is identical too the one from http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=1151#Files. v2.2 most be the last version Ral-Jiktar (Marc Etienne) made. I'll try too download the other mods from that site, can't understand why I never did that as they sound interesting.
