Mod Detectives XXVI, Tracking down hard to find mods

Post » Sun May 29, 2011 2:20 am

Having searched in the ususal places, I am looking for a race mod - Fire Elf - or at the least, the author's name.
I do have an update, here - http://www.mediafire.com/file/mjymyz2ithg/UPDATED+FIRE+ELF+FEMALE-20040322.rar but the readme is a little thin.

Grateful for any help.

If you check Fliggerty's, you will find 4 Fire Elf related files, including the one you already have.

i guess im gonna be here a bit since i had a crapload of mods that i cant remember the names of.

first one is a mod that let you start off in a variety of locations like the morag tong guild or in the taverns. i found an alternate beginnings mod but PES description didnt mention the morag tong start which is the one i usually used.

second mod is a bit more difficult. it was a sort of ghost cave near gnisis. all the residents inside were ghosts (kinda like the horror mod). and it had cool music when you entered into the cavetown.

also could someone point me to a retexture of mournhold (above and also the sewers) that isnt opulent or overly coloful. the other retextures ive seen hurt my eyes. i seem to remember a brick like retexture of the sewers but i dont know who made them.

thanks for any assistance. :)

Is it http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=2777 There's also http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=6845 but the description doesn't mention guild halls.

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=2808 has a brick look, but I'm not sure if that's the one you're looking for.

(this really should belong on a mod psychics thread, but i'm not sure if the morrowind boards have one.)

is there a mod that lets you create fabricants or have fabricant partners? And NOT just summon fabricants.

Hmmmm ... not sure.

There is a resource that you could perhaps team up with Grumpy's Companion template?

What would be really fun would be a mod that was like the dwemer cyborgs mod. but instead of producing dwemer cyborgs, you made fabricants. This calls for an [Idea] thread.

Is there a mod that adds in guide books to morrowind. Like http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3234for oblivion.

The Books tell you a list of all the master trainers, daedric shrine missions, etc.

See Post # 1.

Search Planet Elder Scrolls or the other main sites, the Books category.
There are several mods that do at least some of this by Zoop, Shakti, timoty95, dudeman734 and probably others.

This mod looks interesting, last updated in 2007 apparently - http://www.cyrodiil.net/html/terundcastle.html.
Thing is, I do not seem able to get a download, nor have I been able to find it anywhere else.

Does anyone have an alternate link or a copy to share?

Trying "Save Link As" or "Save Target As" seemed to work for downloading Terund castle (~4 KB .esm file)... unfortunately I'm in a bit of a mess with Oblivion so I can't check it in Morrowind CS at the moment.

Yes, I tried that quite a few times, MagicNakor, but it just did not want to come out and play with me. :(

I've been trying to find a house mod I downloaded quite some time ago.

It was, if I remember correctly, a series of small islands connected by rope bridges. At the distal end of the chain of islands was a small shelter, similar to a tree house. It was very well done. I believe it was located on the southwestern coast of Vvardenfell.

Any mod that replaces the bethseda faces (of most/all races) with the ones seen in MCA (or something similar to this) I know theres better bodies but that just replaces bodies, not faces.

Ronin, I downloaded it just fine. It's just an .esm, do you want me to email it to you? I'm hesitant to post it elsewhere, since I have no idea what the author's distribution policies are and whether or not the .esm is good.

Simbelmyne: Was it http://www.elricm.com/nuke/html/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=viewdownloaddetails&lid=300? It's been a LONG time since I've used it, but I seem to recall it being somewhat like what you describe. It's in the Bitter Coast, not far from Seyda Neen.

rylasasin: See post #1. There are TONS of mods that replace standard faces; I believe MCA uses more than one headpack itself, so unless you are thinking of a specific mod you know you've seen, you'll want to start a new thread for that question. :)

Thank you, Lyssia, but no need as it turns out. Please ignore my first PM and thank you for the offer.

The mod author kindly contacted me with a good link on his home site. Here is - http://igiss.net/morrowind - where you can find Terundcastle and several other mods.

No, that's not it. I do remember being quite impressed by that one though.

Thanks anyway :)

I vaguely recall this mod. There were some enchanting screenshots on the author's site, IIRC. I too would like to identify which mod it was.

Any of these - http://search.yacoby.net/?name=&author=&description=treehouse&game=MW with treehouse typed in the description box?

There is also Ascadian Isles Treehouse by Rutilant. It may not be the one you are looking for but as it does not show up on the ES Search I have uploaded it http://www.mediafire.com/file/w2e2nydw3zy/Treehouse2.zip in case you may wish to have a look at it.

Eish, use a bloody spellcheck or at least read over your posts, people are less willing to give help if they first have to translate every sentence.

The dragon mod sounds like Reign of Fire.
