The Mod Detective threads were started up by GrayskiesRooster to help folk find mods that are missing, hard to locate, obscure or not available on public download sites.

General Enquiries
This is not intended as a general enquiries thread. It is assumed that you are trying to find a specific mod, that you have made serious efforts to look for it yourself and that you will provide some identifying information so others can help you. Or as Gren put it: So, if you want to know if such-and-such kind of mod exists or which mods other folk think are suitable for your purpose please ask those questions in a new and separate thread.


Before You Post Here
Please do your best to find the mod yourself. There are two fairly recent tools that make it much easier to locate mods, including older plugins previously hosted on sites that have since closed [see http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=971139&hl= for details.]

I have a copy of Silver's Dresses (aka Working Dresses) which I've uploaded to http://www.elricm.com/mods.php?mod=4525, http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=23572 & http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=7406 with Silver_Falcon's permission.

Unfortunately he doesn't have backups of the other files, but he's indicated '[a]nything you do find you're welcome to re-upload places if people want it though'.

Hm, about a year or two ago, I think it may have been Fliggerty or Yacoby who came up with one-handed staves. fligg's site doesn't own it and I haven't seen it on yacoby's either. Anyone got a copy?

in my last morrowind installation, i had a mod that made camera "head bob" (=move realistically, not just standing still when you move) in the first person mode
now i can't remember who made it or what it was called as

req a mod that makes throwing knives/stars do more damage. not sure what its called, but I know it exists.

Does anyone have a copy of Cjad the Nord's "Imperial Chain Boots n Gauntlets" mod? It's hosted http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=6010 on PES but I cannot get the download to work ATM. If someone else is able to get the PES download to work, then I'll just try again later and I'm sure all will be well, otherwise I would be very grateful if somebody with a copy of the mod would upload it somewhere. :^)

Imperial Chain Boots n Gauntlets downloaded fine for me. Make sure you're logged into Fileplanet's system.

@MagicNakor, did you open the file you downloaded to make sure it was actually the mod? I can download a corrupt archive if I right-click the download link and choose "save as," but every time I left-click the download link I get an "HTTP 403 Error."

Have you tried both download servers? (I see one for west and one for east coast USA). I had a problem earlier today with Falheim being a corrupt download from east coast but fine from west coast.

I don't know if thats the right thread for what I'm about to ask but I'll do it anyway:
Is there a mod out there letting the clothes I'm wearing have an influence on peoples opinion on me? I'm thinking in the direction of wearing extravagant clothes gives a little boost (e.g. about 3-5 points) in disposition when I'm talking to people in rich areas and vice versa, letting disposition drop in rather shady areas.
For example, people in the Council Club in Ald Rhun will look down on me when I'm talking to them in common pants and shirt, but are going to react more favorably when I wear exqisite Robes/shirts. On the other hand, the Rat Scar Inn, isn't such a nobles club, therefore I would rather be out of place entering it all dressed up. So I would get a little drop in disposition being all dressed up.
The point is, wearing expensive stuff shouldn't let all people look more favourable on me, but let it depend on there own social background.
