It's called not turning brightness up to max.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/7654/?tab=2&navtag=/ajax/modimages/?user=0|:|id=7654 on Nexus.

BTW if for anyone the vanilla dungeons are dark I suggest going to a doctor.

Turn don the brightness...I hope that was an attempt at humor.

I ran with RLWC, like was suggested by the others. But after I updated to the latest NVIDIA driver, my dark nights and dungeons were a very ugly and very distracting mono color of grey and light grey.

I then found RCRN http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/1875

I run the Pure version and the nights and dungeons are pitch black. I love it. However, I found the torches to be too bright. I opened the rcrn(something).esp file in the CK and opened the Torch01 file. It was set to a radius of 1000. The default is 512. I reset it to 250. I understand why the author set it to 1000 and it doers help when outside, but indoors it was just too much, for me. Most would find a setting of 250 to be too little, but it is close to RL dimensions for that amount of flame.

I also installed CLARILUX http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/17605

This is a great lighting mod that pairs very well with dark night mods. It comes with several esp files to adjust the light radius of the lanterns. Just choose one. I opted for the vanilla version, as it doesn't light up a large area. Very nice, indeed.

No I think dungeons in Skyrim are too dark as it is. Too many chests I've missed out on because they've been tucked away in a dark corner, Torches are useless for lighting a dungeon and Candlelight has to be recast every 60 seconds which just grinds on you.

Maybe they aren't too dark but there certainly needs to be a better method for illuminating them.

People are talking about the visual darkness, but have they fixed the darkness for stealth purposes?

Can you still walk up to the nose of a falmer despite it being in a "visually" bright place?

Oh, so there is a "darker dungeons" mod packaged into that "realistic lighting" mod i've heard so much about. Thanks :D

And as for this; i would prefer to get a darker dungeons mod, along with a mod that boosts sources of illumination (magelight, torches). It feels more realistic than being able to see everything.

Also, it gives draughr dungeons a bit of an "amnesia the dark descent" feel, and adds some adrenaline rush to the game, hah.
