As you can see from this screenshot there is a weird almost grid like visual happening in my game. I am unsure why it is happening and if there is a fix for it. i will include my modlist in case that helps to figured out the problem. This bug is not gamebreaking and i can continue playing without it being fixed but it is noticeable and it would be nice to remove it.

Thanks in advance for any help.

P.S. im not allowed to post links so you need to copy/paste those after imgur.com

I'm not seeing anything. Can you describe where in the screenshot I should be looking. Or better yet upload a new picture that's been edited with MS paint circling the issue.

Thanks for the quick reply, i just replaced the original image with a better one, its under the same link. look at the guards face and right arm, it seems that it mainly affects shadows but i also notice it sometimes on grass, trees and buildings

Nothing stands out in your load order. Make sure you have the alternate start mod for testing purposes. I would disable all your Mods then add them back in groups (like five at a time but it's up to you) testing in between. Keep track of each group that you add so if you run into the problem disable one then retest.

by the way your Scarcity mod has a way to many ESP's.

pick only one merchant item rarity and loot rarity.

In addition we are running two weather overhauls at the same time pick one.

Are you using a mod manager and loot?

yes and yes. But i dont like LOOT very much, because whenever i use it it places a few mods such as unbelieveable grass textures lower down on my load order which caused my game to crash on startup. Thankyou for pointing those out, and if by two weather overhauls you mean vivid weathers and vividian, they are meant to be compatible.

You can set your own rules for LOOT. I find that I have to manually re-sort a little more with it than I did with BOSS.

That shadowing is weird. Do you see it in different circumstances (buildings, women, elves, whatever), or just on faces and arms?

One thing that popped into my head was ENB and specifically any DoF, sharpening or grain shaders that you're using. Some shaders apply a pattern to a map and overlay the image. Or a combination of a low quality setting or low sample size with a certain shader might result in that.

If it's only happening on skin, I'd look at the [SUBSURFACESCATTERING] section toward the end of enbseries.ini. Maybe also at SSAO.

You could temporarily improve the quality and sample size options to see if it fixes that, at the cost of performance. Make a backup so you can revert later.

In [SSAO_SSIL]:

SamplingQuailty=0

...

SizeScale=1.0

SourceTexturesScale=1.0

FilterQuality=0

In [SUBSURFACESCATTERING]:

Quality=0

In general, for Quality settings, -1 is max quality and 1 or 2 is min quality, max performance - usual settings are 0 or 1.

For SizeScale and SourceTexturesScale, 1.0 is high quality, 0.5 is medium quality/performance - usually set between 0.5 - 0.75.

For grain, DoF, etc,. you can temporarily turn those off in the ENB Gui, or by setting the variables to 'false' in enbeffect.fx.ini.

Thankyou for the in depth reply, i tried all of that and nothing seemed to work. However i found a fix (kinda) by disabling enhanced lights and FX it has minimised it so i can only notice it if i shove my face against the screen. I think i will just have to live with it, i like the enhanced lighting more than i dislike the weird shadowing.

But a big thankyou for you guys taking the time to respond and help me :)
