Mod Idea need help!

I have an idea for a mod, but i am have no experience with modding. Ive been trying to work on this mod but things either dont go as planned or i get stuck because I dont no what to do. I am now coming to the forums for help.

Here is my idea:

I am a big fan of zombie and survival games so I have been trying to create a game like this that takes place in the wasteland. This is a gamemode that is similar to Real Time Settler in food gathering and survival aspects. This gamemode starts out with a small quest that has you explore a prewar fort whos former residents were scientist working on a gene mutengetic that would take over the human mind allowing them to use humans as there personal slaves without the worry of them having thoughts or feeling of running away. Before the scientist could complete there research they past on but before they past the were able to create a prototype of the virus, whiel exploring the fort's science lab you accedentialy activate the virus and release it into the air. The drug was not able to accomplish what the makers wanted, instead it truned the people who inhaled it mindless zombies, thus starts the course of surviving an apacolpsye in side of an apacolpyse. now the fort you have been exploring becomes your base of operations in this zombie acapoclypse.

Now your life is all about trying to survive this outbreak. There are 3 main things that are needed to survive: a Team, Food, Water, and Weaponry. A team can be aquired 2 ways: 1. waiting for survivors of the virus who are seeking shelter to come to your fort at which point you can have them join you. 2. is leaving the fort and scouting around for survivors. Once you have members you can assign them to gather food, water, or research new forms of defense and making living everyday life easier.

This is just and idea that i have that i would really like some help on. i know it sounds like alot and it might be, i have no idea, but if anyone has any feedback or would like to help please do.
If the whole gamemode is to much to take on just buiklding the fort would be awsome if someone could do that.

Thanks

I doubt very much you're going to get anyone to help you create a mod for you that complex. You're basically asking someone to do all the work for you, and people with that kind of experience are generally working on their own projects. If you want it to happen, you're going to have to learn how to do it yourself. Building the fort would be a good place to start, creating structures isn't all that difficult once your figure out the mechanics involved.

In a word Yes !

You can and should be able to do this yourself.

World building is one of the easier tasks in modding for fallout. Within a hour or two of studying a tutorial you can build your own fort.
Open up the construction set and go through the my first vault tutorial. http://geck.gamesas.com/index.php/Category:Getting_Started#My_First_Vault_Tutorial_Series

Once you complete most of that you will have the skills to build your own towns etc.

Hell, you don't even need a tutorial. Just look at some of the existing interiors and figure it out from there. I started designing my own homes awhile back without knowing anything about it or ever looking at a tutorial. Once I figured out the basic mechanics, it wasn't too long before I started fooling around with 3 story structures. They weren't forts of course, but the basic principles are all the same. It's really not all that complicated, just time consuming.

Nobody can build the home you want better than you can... only you know what you want. :)

I wonder how fast the number would need to be updated if we actually kept track of how often these kinds of threads pop up. XD

The simple truth is, if you want to make any sort of mod with or a team, then prepare to do a lot of the work yourself. Only once in a blue moon do people help with a mod in which the person with the idea doesn't do much more then design ideas and very basic work, and even then, everyone that helps still does a hell of a lot of work. Modding is no easy task from any aspect.
