Finally installed Oblivion on the PC, to grasp the awesomeness of modded Oblivion. Anyway, found a whole bunch of retextures, weapon enchancers (mostly Insanity's stuff ), body replacers, Darnified UI etc.

Now, the only thing so far I haven't found is mod that would solve my face and hair problems.

Is there some retex for vanilla hair that just makes it look more "hairy", something of greater resolution? I'd be insanely happy with that as I'm not into Ren's hairs (or any similar to that).

As for the faces, any suggestions are welcome, I just don't want dollfaces (though from what I've seen in the past I assume I might come empty handed with that request ).

My favorite face improving mod is http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/44676/? by nuska. For new hair textures you might look at http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/11954/? by throttlekitty. I seem to recall seeing another texture replacer around, but I can't seem to find it.

http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/44676/? It's pretty good, IMO. It almost reaches uncanny valley levels of detail, though. Took me a while to get used to it but there's no denying it's damn good work.

Found Vanilla Hair Replacer, had it backed up in case I don't find anything else, but damn, that Character Overhaul is simply great! Thanks a bunch guys!
