Is it possible to clear the hud and pause the game with out having to enter any menus. That way one could take some pretty cool combat screenshots. Is that possible in any way?

Simply open the console (tilde key). If there is any text type 'clr' to clear the text. There will only be a | cursor left in the lower left part of the screen, but it's a simple PS edit to remove it. I always make my static screenshots that way.

There is definitely a console command (open with the key left of the "1") for clearing the HUD. Look it up in the Construction Set Wiki, I don't know it off the top of my head.

As to "freezing" the game to take a screenshot I don't know if there is a mod or a command for that. Phitt took care of that.

Also, if you click on an actor with the console open and type TAI, he/she/it will freeze in midaction, which is very useful when taking action screens. TAI will toggle AI back.

TM toggles menus, which also is useful.

Is it possible, somehow, to rotate the camera after hitting tilde key? I know I can just hold "r" and rotate, but one can not fight while holding "r". One could take some pretty cool screenshots if one could take a shot in the middle of an attack with the sword from a rotated angle. Know what I mean?

TFC = Toggle Free Camera. If you do it from 3:d person you can view the player character as well.
