Mod Problem

With any third person shooting enemy or player when the gun actually fires the characters just continually look like staright up and straight down including in vats and the fire actually follows the direction it points so using vats i acutally shoot the sky or the floor, i think its an animation problem but anyone see a problem in the load order or know of the problem?

only happens when holding zoom without VATS

Any help will be much appreciated

I am shocked the game even loads up at all :blink: The first thing you need to do, place all of the files that end in .esm at the top. Your point lookout .esm is inactive for some reason. All DLC's belong at the top in this order:
Fallout3.ESM
Anchorage.esm
The Pitt.esm
Broken Steel.esm
Point Lookout.esm
Mothership Zeta.esm

MMM should be placed at the bottom.

Remember that the mods that are placed after another mod, is going to be the winner of changes made (if they both change the same thing).

I should really sort that

I'll try that and see if it helps but i doubt that its the dlc that is the problem

UPDATE: Still doing the same but running slightly better than before hehe another note though its only rifles that are doing it not pistols or big guns

Can you post us a new load order with the changes you made?

I would highly suggest updating the http://fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2761 to the 5.0 version and then use the 5.01 update (if you haven't done so). You will be able to free up a lot of things in your load order, for example:

Don't forget to check the http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=4968 for the patches that you need. Please check for the information on the classic weapons, cause if I remember correctly, FWE includes them.

Sorry I can't help you right now with the whole shooting situation you have, but hopefully we can get you to the point that someone can :) If nothing else, this is a free bump for you :P

Ah I had that problem with Raiders and Hunting Rifles. It was kind of annoying, but also, it meant they couldn't hit me, which was good.

I simply turned off my PC, had lunch, relaxed downstairs for an hour, came back up and it was all fine :)


Not sure if that's what sorted it though :P

RH_Ironsights combined with a third person animation replacer is probably causing this. I assume you have Fallout Reanimated installed (or another mod that alters the third person shooting animations). It isn't in your load order, because it doesn't need an ESP, so most people will not recognize this as the culprit. Removing the animations will get rid of shooting the ground or the air in third person.

Yea i do have that, i was hoping that i wouldn't have to uninstall it though

A handy tool to remove non-FOMOD mods is http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7557. Just change the file paths to make it work with Fallout. A very efficient and fast tool to quickly remove mods that clutter up your data folder.
