MOD Psychics

Post » Sat May 14, 2011 2:03 am

Wanted to mention this, again:

I saw some really nice weapons wall-mounted display racks in a dimensional pocket mod, The Rift. Basically, you just "dropped" a weapon while facing one, and it acted much as a magnet to grab the item. Clicking let you grab it back. But I don't know if this resource has ever been released as a sale item in stores, for players. Does anybody know about this, or something comparable?

...and also ask about something else. Has anyone encountered a mod that can tell you how many skill levels your character has increased and in what skills, since last raising your character's level?

Thanks

Has anyone ever found a really good de-levelling mod? One where you can reverse a character back down to a specific level?

I'd assume you'd also need to use Wrye Bash to re-level the NPCs in your save game, so maybe there's a way to do it with Wrye Bash? Can you import all of a PCs stats, including their level from a previous save?

The intent is that when I finish the main quest and most of the rest of the vanilla/FCOM game, I'll want to install some quest mods and then adjust my character to suit the recommended start level for the quests.

You may want to use http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22272 to track progress to your next level. I'm not sure about the stuff you're specifically asking for.

Wrye Bash has an import stats feature - it's under import face. However, I'm not sure exactly what it copies over and you'd probably lose the other things such as number of locks picked or murders or horses stolen... stuff like that. Secondly, it might not work on copying the "face" from the same character. Best check in the dedicated thread.

Not what I was looking for--I needed something that told me which skills I'd advanced, and how far, to my character's next level. But I did find one, anyway: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30945. Just released, still kind of beta-ish, but since I can read German, the mix of English and German doesn't bother me. Works well, though there are header issues with the mod in the "German-glish" version, and I had to open it in the CS and resave it in order for Wrye Bash not to throw a fit.

The other thing I'm looking for can be found in http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16285. It's wall-mounted armor and weapons display racks. You simply move a weapon over one, let go, and it's "magnetized" to the rack. No need to maneuver the weapon or armor exactly into a series of holes or cases. And you just click to get it back. I'm not sure where the modder got the resource, but was hoping it had been issued in a store. I'll bet it hasn't, but...that's what this thread is for. ;)

okay this is sort of off topic, sort of not -depends on how you look at it.

I making a mod, and I need an icon for the mod. if you want to make it for me AWESOME! but that is not what I am here for. I need a .dds file of a book (I tried searching the Ob directories for Vanilla .dds book icons, but, no luck) and ofcourse a sword. (ofcourse...meaning that you looked at the Construction Set forum)
so, know any place I can find these? or, perhaps, how to extract an original file from vanilla oblivion to be used (<--if you do that, PM me to keep this topic on topic)

Just use OBMM or similar to unpack the Textures .bsa... all the icons and stuff are in there.

On-topic: still looking for pajamas... there can't REALLY be NO pajamas out there, right?

Are there any simple mods that allow you to start small fires with a spell? Basically I'm looking for a way to mark a spot in the distance so I can find it when I get close without having to turn off the grass.

mod with a sleep spell and a shove spell

as well as npc's being able to drown, I get somewhat tired of swimming to the bottom of the lake, coming to almost drowning, so I cast waterbreathing. the npc casts nothing, yet his lung capacity out strips mine and my spells?

A mod that makes everything have a wet look when it rains or if a object has been in water.

Only affects actors, though.

The link is valid, it's just that the Nexus seems to be down right now. Try again in a little while.

Maybe because Nexus is down for updates. Or something like that.
All links to Nexus aren't working, even to the main page. I'm sure they'll have a postit somewhere about it soon, unless it's something worse then just a normal update, in which case we can likely expect someone to tell us what happened when they tell us what happened.

I got another mod I am looking for (sort of)
this is very specific: I need a mod that adds a spell effect on the player upon equiping an item. (not an enchantment on the actual item. But you know, the item is used, and even if the item is equipable and is taken off, the effect is still active)

got any ideas?

What about an item that when clicked or added to the inventory, adds a spell? Would that count? There are several like that, mainly house mods.

erm...not exactly...what I need it to do is when activated/clicked/equipped whatever it may be, it needs to cast a spell on the player, not give the player a spell. But your help isn't entirely useless, I need to take a look at those mods that give the player a spell as well, so mind pointing me the direction of one? I don't care what it is exactly, I just need one to uh....look at it's scripting :P

I was wondering what the best spear mod is. I have Spartan Spears but the spear in that just has a dagger attached to the top. I'd like it to be more of a spearhead at the top. And i'd prefer it to be one handed because i'd like to use it with a shield.

So any item enchanted to raise (or lower) a player's attributes should count, right? You can do this yourself, since such an item once enchanted acquires a unique ID. Should be relatively easy to find in the CS.

No, No, not an enchantment. Because - say we put this enchantment on a sword - when I equip the sword, yes the enchantment will be on the player, but when they remove the sword the enchant is off.
Let's get off the idea of equipable items (swords, shields, armor). I need something the player activates, and when activated a magic effect will happen on the player.

hope I explained that well....
anyways, I still also would like a mod that adds a spell to the players spells via activation from an item.

I am so SICK of my companion running off without me!
I wouldn't mind uninstalling and reinstalling so my companion was back at the spawn point, but, then I would loose all the equipment I gave her which cost me a hefty bit in the game.
so are there any mods to FORCE you companion near you, or something of the sort?

EDIT:
oh, btw, right now shes out in the big scary world wandering by herself...I got a spell that will instantly recall her to me, but first, I have to cast a spell on her so it knows who to recall....I need her moved to me first so I can cast that on her, but I can't find her!

EDIT (again)
Never mind about this post. Console command saved the day! (actually it didn't work..but she magically decided to walk away for awhile then POOF back to me)

EDIT YET AGAIN:
while on the topic of companions; I have a favorite spell of mine with an aoe....and it's annoying that companion continually dies by my own hand because she is too close to my spell and gets hurt too. There wouldn't happen to be a mod that disables magic effects (or all friendly attacks) from not working on friendly people? or, more preferably, just my companion.
