Original Oblivion thread by *showler*

*from showler's previous thread, with changes*
Taking a leaf (and this post) from Buddah the generous, I've decided to create this thread in which anyone who is wondering if a mod exists can post what they're looking for, and anyone who wishes to will try to find that information for you.

Please remember folks, this thread is for people who DON'T KNOW whether the mod they are looking for exists, and have tried to find it but had no luck.

This is a companion thread for Buddah's Mod Detectives Threads. If you KNOW your mod exists, but can't find it, ask there. Otherwise inquire here.

If, on the other hand, the Mod Detectives Thread is lock'd, you can inquire here until Buddah opens up another Mod Detectives Thread.

Please refrain from requesting information with abbreviations, slang and leet.....they are difficult to understand even for the native English speakers hereabouts. Plus, it's annoying.

The more information and specific the request, the better the chances of getting a fitting response. General inquiries will result in a lot of mods that we think are what you want.

One of the lighting mods for Morrowind gave the player the power to see better in the dark while sneaking (variable, depending on Sneaking skill). A sort of mild Night Eye effect. Is there a similar mod for Oblivion? I'd dearly love to use.

I was looking for a mod that replaces NPC clothing, but in a less revealing way than
NPC New Clothes, that is, in a more lore abiding way. Any ideas?

Hi there,

Is there a mod which adds daedric armor similar to the style in Morrowind?

Two choices: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16442, which adds it and a awesome sword into the game via a quest that starts when you sleep in a building way out in the middle of nowhere(it's in a forest, and is added by the mod). Pros: Free armor/weapon, daedric level, short but challenging quest(your stuff is taken and placed in a later chest, and you have to fight your way to freedom), awesome looking armor/weapon. Cons: It's free, it's daedric level gear, no level limit on when you can take the quest, quest is less challenging if you have some decent spells, quest is less challenging if you're a unarmed fighter/use a unarmored mod.
Or, there is http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28245, which adds it and much more. Pros: Awesome Armor Included, Way more then you asked for, no quest to purchase the items, freaking awesome mod. Cons: It can get pricey, no quest, way more then you asked for, I have no idea if the sword is included, patch required for Open Cities.

I'd lean a bit more towards recommending Vvardenfell Imports, because it isn't cheap and it's got so much more.

Is there a mod (or some other way) that can turn casting effects off for a particular spell (invisibility) or the whole school of Illusion?

Is there a mod with a tree house, and/or one that lets you climb trees?

Is there a mod or mods that actually adds a variety of heroic/dashing or 'themed' clothing for male characters that DOESN'T involve being someones boy toy or have 'enhancements' built in, or strategic sections missing?

I'd love to find a swashbucklers outfit, or maybe something like Sinbad wears, or even a diaper, turban and curly pointed shoes like Abu from the Thief of Bhagdad at this point...but NOT some kind of 'get your jollies' gear.

Fact of the matter is I'm so sick of, and grossed out by the recent trends in 'body mods', I'm surprised the Nexus hasn't been shut down for pormography.

I second that. In fact, I really want OOO, but am trying to figure out if I'm smart enough to remove Amazons from it, before I download the thing.

Another questions: is there a mod which makes different types of weapon affect different enemies err... differently? That is, so that bladed weapons would be far less useful against skeletons or other material but fleshless creatures, arrows nearly useless, and blunt really useful. The idea could be extended even further taking armour into account. Blades would be far less useful against plated or chainmail armour that blunt weapons. In a word, combat realism!

Pretty good thanks!!

Oh, I just remembered, is there a mod that makes actors JUMP?

I "think" that this was included in Deadly Reflex 3.x or 4.x but I really can't remember much.

I had quite a few requests, but I forgot most of them :(

The one I do remember at the moment though: Is there a mod that makes telekenesis effect more like Bioshock's version if it (you cast it at an object and it comes right to you automaticly, press something and you can throw it, etc. ) or make it more jedi-like (being able to lift/throw people).

And yes i'm aware of LAME/SM's version of it, but thats not what i'm looking for.

Again... not exactly what i'm looking for. I mean something that will make telekensis behave like Bioshock's version of it/Hl2's gravity gun.

Also, list of furry races? Specifically canind / white or pink/lavender furred races? Seems to me like its pretty much Elves, Humans, and daedra/demons.

Any mods that change the recipies for Alchemy, og perhaps even reduces the number of effects for each ingredient?
This first would make for a new game being less predictable, the second to make it more challenging.

Is there a spell that allows one to turn into a wisp of smoke and move very fast for a short time? I seem to remeber reading about a spell like that months ago.

So, I'm looking for tattoos. But there's a catch: I'm looking for ones for a Xivilai character.
I'm either thinking red arcane squiggles or runes carved into the skin that look vaguely arcane, but are made of scar tissue.
In essence, I'm looking for something to match up with http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=24690's facial textures.

This might be helpful to you. Makes alchemy a little bit harder. It's pretty fun.

Is there a mod which makes Alchemy potions have stronger effect depending on the number of ingredients with that effect used? Vanilla Alchemy does not differentiate potions with 1, 2, 3, and 4 similar effect ingredients.
