MOD Psychics - Thread 16

Slight bump hoping for a (positive) response. :)
Unfortunately, I'm not sure anyone even understands what causes this, let alone how to fix it.

If it's the one I'm thinking of, it has no collision and doesn't return any sort of ID number in the console. It's purely a graphical glitch.

The only thing I can think of that might help is a mod that removes any arrows stuck in the player when they transition through a door, and I think it would have to happen before the transition.

Are there any Shivering Isles house mods that add homes in New Sheoth? That is, other than WillieSea's Mad House... I know about that one :P BUT... I wanted a house in Bliss (thought I'm interested in any New Sheoth homes). Any ideas?

Thank you for this! I actually looked through ORE before asking in this thread, but apparently I didn't scroll down far enough :P And I never would have known about the COBLized version if you hadn't mentioned it. Am I to understand from the ORE forum thread that you yourself COBLized it? If so, then thank you doubly so!

Now, if I'm not being too much of a burden, I have two more questions. First, is there any mod that replaces the horrendous looking high elf ears with something more... traditionally elven? Or even just some resource that contains such ears? I know my around the CS well enough to whip up my own plugin if I have the resources. Again, I wouldn't ask if I didn't look for myself first, but the search function on TESNexus seems as inane as that of these forums X( I have no clue how to do a whole-word search for ear. I keep getting results with hear, beard, and clear in the descriptions :(

And my second question is about all the various Quest Award Levelers... there are quite a few different versions, and I can't remember which one is the standard these days... I have all the DLC and Shivering Isles, so I'd need one for everything, but I also know that some are out of date or deprecated.

I used to be able to go to Rindar's Staffs and buy all kinds of enchanted hoods and robes, like 10 different kinds, but now I can't find the mod that allows this... can anyone help? I've got one of the merged clothing mods (All Capes, Cloaks, Gloves, etc) but it still doesn't add all of what I'm looking for...it even had something like "torn" or "worn out" hoods or robes those enchantments weren't as powerful... thanks in advance...

Is there a mod that allows you to view a races base attributes, skill bonuses and racial bonuses/powers on the race selection screen (and also has to work for custom races).

Also, just out of curiousity, a mod that adds a playable Rubik's Cube.

Greetings,

Although I've played Oblivion forever on a console, I friend bought me Dragons Age and the difference in styles struck me.

Oblivion is still bigger - there is more replay value in being able to do things differently and repeat things you enjoy
Oblivion is still more active - in the sense of live combat, people wandering around on their own schedules, etc

BUT

Dragon Age has big events - going Dalish or Werewolf, destroying or restoring the Anvil, culling or saving the Mages, etc
Dragon Age has some fancy combat too - "Sword porm" is what some call it - and a well geared warrior can solo half a dozen mobs alone
Dragon Age is actually very personalized - stories reflect your choices (so while in Oblivion a top-tier Mage always goes against Necromancers & a top Warrior always opposes the Blackwood Company; in Dragon Age you can be an amazing Mage and help the mages or help the templars ; you can be an amazing elven Warrior and save your people from a Werewolf attack....or actually betray them to gain the allegiance of the werewolves!)

AND

A friend convinced me to build a PC and I want to play Oblivion first and foremost. But I can't quite just type "Dragon Age" at "TESNEXUS" and find a lot.

SO

Any recommendations? I know "recommend mod" threads must be common, but I'm trying to locate something sort of specific here. For example:

* 1) Combat - Are there any MODs that raise the number of enemies? MODs that add new moves? MODs that work for "mass combat" so you can do things like swing and attack 4 guys? MODs for gore and blood effects?
* 2) Factions - Any mods that develop the big factions (Mage vs Necromancer;Fighters vs Blackwood;etc) further for alternative endings? Maybe to join the Mages? Or help Dagon take over? Mods for Elves who played Knights of the Nine and quit midway because you read about the racist bigot Pelinal was and wanted to restart a pogrom against men? How about additional quests per faction, such as more assassination for the Dark Brotherhood or more gladiators for the Arena?
* 3) Companions - I know a lot of mods exist for this, but how about some with personal quests? Not random six buddies, but actual story elements? People who actually react to what you do and maybe even challenge you on things? I just played Dragon Age a 3rd time just to spite everyone (SPOILERS: betrayed Aleister to execution; killed Leliana after fouling the sacred ashes; killed Wynne after revealing blood magic; killed Zevran after his betrayal; killed Shale to claim the Anvil; etc, etc)
* 4) World Changing Stuff - Obviously the Oblivion crisis is one, but its not something we control. I hear there's one to restore Kvatch. Are there any others that let you alter the landscape in big ways? Or major modifications to the map that I'm missing?
* 5) Generic Recommendations - I'm not opposed to these (such as model enhancements, maps, etc). I'll take recommendations but I can find these types fairly well I think. Just noting that I'm looking for 1-4 and as a newb to the PC version, am wondering what you guys are using or what you recommend.

enemies: I'd reccomend MMM, and once you get some experience with adding/using mods to upgrade to FCOM.
combat: Unnecessary Violence is the primo IMO, others include Deadly Reflex.

http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=17448 is nice (er evil) imo (haven't finished it yet... 3 chars half way through. I know there is a post MQ dagon quest mod... can't recall the name...

I don't use companions myself but I've heard these are good:

Hi, I'm looking for mods that add stuff that costs money.

I've got a good banking mod and that combined with the sometimes rediculous amounts of money you can get from a dungeon, give too much money.

I've already downloaded 2 house mods, Mountain Tower and Kuminko Manor, both which cost a good amount of money, and it is also fun to "work" to get enough money, and I wonder if there are other mods like those ( not necesarily house mods since I only use those 2 houses ).

Is there any mods that makes it possible to walk into oblivion gates. In default game you walk right though the portal and out the other side. Im wondering if its possible, and if there is a mod that makes you able to walk into the oblivion gate, and then enter oblivion. :obliviongate:

Not exactly what you're looking for, but you could use http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25078 to make houses cost 5 times as much as normal and alter merchants to make everything more expensive.

Not really what I'm looking for, though. As crazy as it may sound, I want the stream save function and nothing else. People talk about problems caused by streamline, and I'm starting to think that I should look for another option. The main part I'm hoping for is the lack of a esp file, which would make me quite happy(saves a slot, which I'm going to be running low on sooner or later).
