Mod suggestions for new PC player

Post » Fri Dec 09, 2011 5:14 pm

Okay so, first off i'm pretty familiar with computers in general and I don't think i'll need much instructions on applying the mods and such. However, I just recently got Morrowind for PC (having played it on console) it was one of my favorite games a long time ago and I would really enjoy playing this epic game with a new set of Mods.

I've found myself searching through longggg lists of mods and I just simply cannot make up my mind or have much user input. Ive been part of the forums here since 05 and I trust the community here to supply me with some mods and their own opinions. As for what i'm looking for, SOME graphic enhancers but not too much I dont really care for it looking like oblivion, i loved morrowind just the way it is. Maybe just some more flora, fauna and NPCs to spice up my gameplay. Also adding some new factions with long questing involved and new additions to the map for me to explore would be awesome.

if anyone could give me a list and some of their own input on them and allow me to ask questions and discuss it would be extremely helpful and again thank you in advance!

Well, if you'd like more NPCs, and would like them to have more "life" to them, I'd suggest these:

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=mods.detail&id=8118
http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=mods.detail&id=5047
http://lgnpc.org/downloads

There's also http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=mods.detail&id=2786, which is a pretty popular "life-giving" mod.

Personally, I do not use such mods, but they come very highly recommended by many others, so I mention them.

My preference is for adding locations, places to visit, do things. And so I build mods like Demolank's Shop, which you can, obviously, find a link to in my signature. It's not for everyone, but it doesn't require graphics enhancers and texture replacers to use/enjoy.

I also recommend the http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19510. It's not really a mod, but it's easy to use, gives you options, and fixes a lot of bugs you may not have even noticed before. It's the only thing I even remotely consider to be "essential".

Well, Better Bodies is somewhat the [censored] of all mods. Everyone in town knows her(you'll know why). http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=7749#Filesadds more npc's but not too much as MCA which can be too hectic for some, not to mention a significant drop in fps.
As for new areas to explore would be Tamriel Rebuilt.
