Is there a mod that eliminates the need to drag and drop items into a storage container? I want to just click or ALT click to immediatley transfer something to a container.

Sorry, that's what I get for reading too fast. I thought you wanted to transfer stuff to your inventory, not a container. I don't think there's anything for that, that behaviour is probably hard-coded. Perhaps you could try asking in the MCP thread?

If you only need one item, just click on it and then right-click your mouse or press spacebar (it's one of those two) to close the inventory windows. That should transfer that one object, I do this alot when I encounter crates and barrels that only have one useful item but if you want to do it with more than one, I think your best bet would be to position the windows so you have minimal dragging to do so it becomes less of a drag

This is an interesting thought. I am guessing the reason that so far it hasnt been done is because like he said above, its probably hardcoded. I will go suggest this to the open MW guys.

It was just such a pain transferring all of those alchemical ingredients to storage last night. I said there had to be a better way. Crosses fingers....

Well, ingredients are one of the faster things to transfer in/out to containers by script. One of the best/faster ingredient sorter/storage is in Aragon's Ashlander Tent (http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8546&comment_page=2)

Alchemy Storage Helper uses a bag that has the option to move everything from inventory to the bag and from the bag to your inventory. The bag weighs nothing so you can carry it with you everywhere. When you want something out, you put it down and open it like a normal container.

It can be a little strange having a "bag of holding" but in a world of so much magic, you kind of expect mages to have a few tricks up their sleeves.
