Mod that makes quest NPCs essential?

I've played Oblivion for years and have been through the various questlines plenty of times. Truthfully, I am just really tired of micro-managing the quest-related NPCs to keep them all alive. And please don't tell me "let them die, it adds realism and challenge" because I don't care about realism or challenge. I like the quest NPCs in my game to stay alive, period. I don't mind people who are scripted to die, but what really irks me is that more often than not, the only reason the salvagable NPCs die is due to poor AI and unbalanced level scaling. Again, I want to make it clear that I don't care about any of the "pros" of allowing optional quest NPCs to die; I want them all to live in my game, I don't need to justify why I want this. :P

For the longest time, it's been an extremely boring game of micro management - and when things get way too much to handle - console-click and "resethealth" command. I'm getting sick of having to do these all the time. I just want a mod that does it for me. Has anyone made a mod that somehow has all the essential NPCs figured out and makes them unkillable? While at the same time not messing up initially-essential NPCs that are meant to be killable as part of the quest's script?

For clarity: I'm wondering if there's a mod that does all of this automatically. Telling me to use the console to turn on the essential flag on the base ID is not what I want; neither do I want some hacky mod where I have to cast "set essential" spells to characters that I want to keep alive. I want it all to happen in the background so I can just play the game (and worry about keeping myself alive).

(As an example, the "fix NPC double face" spell from the UOP is what I consider hack-ish... on the other hand, that one OBSE mod that just fixes double faces without me having to do anything about it - now that's what I'm talking about! ;))

I've exhausted all Search options on these boards and Nexus; all that ever pop up are mods that make essential NPCs killable, which is completely the opposite of what I want. :S

Sorry for the angry tone, just getting really tired of trying to save the characters in my game. I love Oblivion more than Skyrim and still play it to this day. I just wish the game was less frustrating for me, because little things like this frustrate me.
