Rankings are up, enjoy :)

Edit: Question - Should I spend time figuring out how to compress the rankings battle for youtube or jump straight to the fights? The rankings battle is laggy and none to impressive.

I would like to see it eventually, but the fights should have priority.

And Morvalien wanted me to inform you all that she intentioanlly engineered an early defeat because she enjoyed the trash talk with Baruhk and wanted to fight him. Her actual words were rather more juicy and involved using Apotheosis in a way in which it wasn't designed to be used, but I don't want to upset the moderators with inappropriate language.

Meanwhile Sarevok is saying that he should have Molag Bal's title because he deserves it more. Again I'm not going to repeat what he said he'd do to his opponent (Thuadra I think) because I find to be highly out of line.

A close fight, but Gurkog won the series 2-1. Gurkog's speed and weapon were simply to much for the mage Sraaj-Dar to handle.

I did not realize that both of my characters were in the first 2 fights... at least I do not have to wait in anticipation anymore.

Round One Match Three
http://www.xfire.com/video/40f048/
Spoiler
It started off well for Arrogant Andy, knocking Korgan down with his staff's magic. Of course it all went down hill from there, Korgan became enraged and swept through Arrogant Andy with powerful sweeps of his warhammer. Guess Arrogant Andy mighta been a bit Arrogant

I wrote this then reloaded the thread and I see the fights are already up. Nevertheless here are my prediction for the fights:

1. Gurkog vs S'raaj-dar

Gurkog is tough and he has 35% Resist Magic and 20% resist vs all elements. But that staff does 70 damage so he's still taking 36 damage per hit and 5 hits will kill him (not counting the health he'll leech with his mace) and S'raaj-dar will be summoning a Skeleton to distract him and make him an easier target. I predict S'raaj-dar will win (80% sure).

2. O. G. vs Hans

Hans has a very powerful attack, but he has only about 30 AR and 20% Resist Magic. O. G. On the other hand has no magic resistance but his AR will be maxed out and he has a lightning staff and a Mace of Feeding so I expect he'll simply outlast Hans. I predict O. G: will win (70% sure).

3. Korgan the Fluffy vs Arrogant Andy

Korgan has a number of magical defences but that don't stack. He has 20% Spell Absorption, 20% Resist Fire & Shock, 80% Resist Frost, and 9% Resist magic. Together that adds up to 41% protection against Fire and Shock attacks. Andy's staff will still be doing 41 damage per hit and would bring him down in 3 hits (if none get absorbed). Andy has a summon, but he'll probably electrocute it by accident befoe it does him much good. Still, it should give him 1 free hit and I predict Arrogant Andy will win (70% sure).

4. Morvalien vs Baruhk

Two hits from Apotheosis and Baruhk will be on his way to Sovngarde. Morvalien will win (1005 sure).

Now let's see how right I was!

@Gurkog- No sir, they are ste effects :)

Round One Match 4
http://www.xfire.com/video/40f0e4/
Spoiler
Morvalien and Baruhk had been at each others throats since they met. Now the time came to settle who was the real deal. Morvalien started off by summoning a skeleton to do her dirty work for her. Baruhk laughed and smashed it to pieces. Morvalien summoned more and more thinking they would eventually defeat him. Baruhk disagreed and smashed through them, then smashed down Morvalien.
Note: An interesting match, the AI decided not to use Apotheos in 2 of the 3 matches. That was Morvalien's downfall.

@Dragatus- those were my predictions to, but seems we were dead wrong!

I hate trying to predict NPC AI... Arena matches are like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get!

Can I ask for a rematch? I hate being a sore loser but this goes beyond the AI's usual stupidity. She wasn't making any attacks at all, it had to be some kind of glitch in the AI. You saw how quickly Baruhk died in the one round when she attacked normally. It's pretty obvious that if the AI worked like it's supposed to the battle would have gone 3-0 in my favor.

What AI did you give her? She was supposed to have default, but the way she's keeping her distance it almost looks like she's using NPCConjurer instead.

Edit: Yes this was the first use of the balance plugin, but the balance plugin doesn't do anything to the AI. I didn't mess with any AI settings.

I will give you a rematch gladly, and yes she is using default. I thought I had screwed something up in her form, but no everything checks out. I can send you the plugin if ya want. I think the balance plugin is a bit to much for the mages, they seem severely underpowered now.

Hmm even in the rematch she would not use her staff. I wonder if it has to do with the combat style? Ill try with NPCConjuror attached and see what happens.

No need to send me the plugin. I belive you that everything checks out. Maybe the problem is in Apotheosis. The other mages used their staves normally.

I don't see how my balance changes are supposed to make mages underpowered. Warriors have less health (because combat skills aren't governed by Endurance and Strength anymore) so if anything mages goot a boost. OK, they have less Magicka (because Intelligence doesn't go up with level), that is true. But until so far that wasn't an issue. A bigger issue is that S'raaj-daar's summon failed to do any tanking and Arrogant Andy for some reason didn't even bother summoning his Dremora.

Ai issues then. Im just about to try with the different combat style and see how that works.
