My modded hats, helments and glasses are placed on side of h

Post » Mon Dec 05, 2011 7:17 pm

I have modded several hats and glasses in the geck, but in-game they always show up on the side of the head instead of on top of the head.
This includes all cowboy hats except the desperado hat, all berets. The lucky shades glasses show up on the ear.
Does any else have this problem?.
What could I be doing wrong. Usually all I change is the enchantment on the items.
Thanks

Shouldnt be your mod then, what other mods are you using?

Does it occur when you load all but your changes?

...Does not work.

Fire up FNVEdit and find your headwear piece.

Go to the Male Biped Model and find "MODD - Facegen Model Flags".

Right-click it and select "edit". Click through the edit alert dialog if you haven't cleared that already.

Type in 1 into the field. Just a single 1. Hit enter.

It should now indicate "Head".

Save and exit.

OK, did I totally forget how to do it? Or did the method I mentioned used to work?
My memory is shot...

The problem even during FO3 is that it has a propensity to create a lot of dirty entries. In FONV, I've never got it to work. And then I discovered the hidden FaceGen flag I just indicated. It's not the biped slot list you see in the GECK.

Cool, that's good to know.
It's also good to know my memory isn't as wonky as I think it is. :vaultboy:

Remember to Conformulate to get an EGM if you don't have one already.
