I use one name for the north American wildlife art I create which is sold for real money, and am known as "Lady MorningStar" when I create fan-art or anything else that is for/from gaming. The reason is that my art appeals to very different audiences. Those who like and purchase my wildlife art are typically middle-aged to older mid-westerners who are into the outdoors, hunting and fishing. These particular people are often put off by the sort of art I create that is based on the Elder Scrolls and other games. Not always, mind you. There are exceptions to everything, but most of them don't care for my paintings of Elder Scrolls elves, who, with their pointed ears and sometimes revealing clothes, look like demons to those who buy my wildlife art.
One person who loves my elk paintings once came across one of the paintings I had done of Dagoth Ur and remarked in a disillusioned tone, "Oh....I didn't know you did stuff like this." It was obvious that he was very put off by my fantasy art. Yes, I know, it shouldn't matter, but unfortunately to some people it does. So...again, one name for the art that earns money, and another for my gaming art. It's better that way.
