Modding a 360?

Post » Mon Jan 04, 2010 10:02 am

Well, as I won't be having I ternet for a while, and my computer is gone, I was thinking about modding my 360. My friend has done it, but he moved away so I can't find him to ask. So how would I go about modding the xbox to be able to insert mods and everything into fo3?

It's not possible to do this, and not supported. How has your friend "modded" his 360 Fallout3? That would be news to me.

You can't. You can edit save files, which lets you... do less than you can on PC with the console. The 360 is not moddable.

Well idk how exactly he did it, but he somehow had the g.e.c.k. On his 360... So I had some sort of an idea that it was possible.

Then that's considered modding a console itself, and if I'm right, such discussions are not allowed here, are they?

No he didn't. The GECK is a windows application, and as such couldn't run on the 360. In order to make mods for the 360, they would need to be digitally signed, and unless he works for bethesda, he doesn't have the digital signature.

His dad worked for bethesda, and he let his son play the 360 version? The horror!

I find it hard to believe that a Bethesda employee would do something illegal like modifying a console.

Sorry, we do not allow the discussion of modifications to an XBox360 as this is illegal and voids any warranty.
