If this is XB1 only I'm cancelling my pre order and waiting for a price drop. I'm not spending $60 and not getting the same gaming experience as the other console when both are basically the same.

Nothing specific, just that it is indeed happening.
It certainly won't have script extender support, because it violates the EULA.
It just seem like another misstep that will create animosity between the platform player-bases.
I doubt they made a deal specifically with microsoft... the xbox one is most likely more compatible to modding...
However... I'd still like to know how the hell they can port a mod over! Sounds amazing!
Free. Love it. Free. All hail Todd Howard and Microsoft..
Oh, backwards compatibility...Hello Fallout 3 and NV. Welcome to the One.
If they don't allow this for PS I feel they'll lose some sales, I'm a PS gamer myself, but I'll still buy it for the PS4, I won't cave and get an xbox that's for sure, if it came down to it I'll go where it matters and get a P.C if my partner allows!
Paying for two cars and the mortgage and animals takes priority over modding the game, I'll get there eventually!
Isn't Doom 4(or whatever they calling it) on both consoles and getting mods? I remember them saying that. So I doubt the PS4 can't handle it when both console are pretty much the same with a different design.
Xbox One technical subforum is going to be very entertaining.
This is going to crash and burn. Little Johnny is going to wonder why his weak Xbox can't run more than 10 mods without crashing. I smell paid mods on the horizon.
Very happy for that news.
Dont have a current console yet, so I gonna buy the One. Plus, HALO.
They'll have to have some kind of manager for load order, I can't see them being able to have a system that does it automatically and get it right every time.
It's most likely exclusive to Xbox because Microsoft have full access to Windows, so they have an easier time making a pipeline for mods.
They may have similar architecture, but the Xbox and PS4 differ greatly in their higher level software.
This should be interesting then. Makes me wonder how much strain I can put on the system till it simply quits. Should be fun to try.
if "modding confirmed" means "other than the ingame building features" ---> pheeeeew..... then i finally could happily look forward to the game (gladly ignoring the voiced pc thing for now)
One thing I'm hopeful about is they never said "Exclusive" between Xbox/ P.C/ Steam
Like when they used to get the Big $$ from Call of Duty it was " Exclusively on Xbox first "
So maybe in a month or so time it will be confirmed for PS4 and this is just one of M$ underhand tactics to try and encourage peeps ton pre-order on Xbox One
What about hosting? I can't see them using a USB stick and the Nexus with all it's advlt content, the PC gets away with all the advlt mods because it's largely under the radar, consoles aren't.
That doesn't seem like a smart idea. Some of us will just wait until the price drop to get the game now. Which is what I'm going to do.
