modding for xbox ?

heres what im thinking what if the developers of the game were to do what other games such as halo and CoD are doing that is sharing user created things but... they would be taken from the fallout nexus network so think about it fallout new vegas with the added bonus of downloading not weapons and armor because it would defeat the purpose but instead things such as house mods and weather mods quest lines things of that nature they dont even have to do a net work for it what if they created just dlc for things as prove your worth game play where its wave of ghouls or dlc just for an added safehouse in game where there is space to display wepons and armor that is collected it would surely add more hours of play time if they were to do this

It can be done. You just have to get through the brick wall that is Sony and Microsoft.

With mods come freedom. With freedom is expected responsibility. With expectations of responsibility from the public comes failure.

Mods for Xbox means broken Xboxes and security risks; that's my take anyway

Modding the xbox is illegal, it is in the agreement you sign with xbox and also they won't let you mod.

Picking mods off nexus shows favoritism, which Bethesda doesn't want to do. If they allow one they have to allow all, which is impractical.

As a result, this includes things like graphical mods and such. Considering console games are tone downed for performance reasons, im fairy sure Microsoft and Sony would not be happy to get complaints about system overheating because of game mods.

This.

User-generated content for the consoles is something under frequent consideration by Bethesda and something they've said they'd love to see, but under current arrangements it looks unlikely for the foreseeable future. It's possible that games like Hunted and Spore might open doors for mods for some future game, but it certainly won't be Skyrim. Current problems include mods accidentally breaking the game (happens!), copyright content, restricted content (e.g. nudity), mods simply incompatible with each other, and whether Bethesda would have to be held responsible for the content we generate. All those would have to be ironed out before MS would even consider allowing mods on the xbox: it's a long way off.

Since this topic is already heading down the road of "illegal" discussion (or certainly EULA-breaking discussion), I'm going to lock this up for now.
