When the Sandbox 3 Editor is released, I don't know how Crytek wants to accomplish this.

- Modding is restricted since 1.2
- Custom Maps (like maps from Wars) make the game crash
- no free dedicated server for custom maps

So. Crytek. I've got some suggestions:

- Allow Modding and let the Server decide the values for cloak, power etc, so that cheaters will be detected and automatically kicked

- Dunno, fix it

- Release a Free Dedicated Server files, restricted to be unranked but with the possibilty to run custom maps. This will make players still play on official servers and give the players a possibility to play for fun custom maps.

If this doesn't happen, Modding would be nonsense...

I don't have any problem with modding being disabled - that at least means I know what I can expect and don't join a server calling itself "default" and then has Pistols with 200 round-magazines, 50% gravity and allowes only cloak-mode which can't be disabled in any form including shooting.

The custom maps however... well, if we just ignore the fact that this game doesn't officially support those kinds of maps yet, they would need to fix it. Then - as I mentioned already - it doesn't support custom maps yet as we have no official tool to make those. So, when Sandbox 3 comes out, it's highly likely that custom maps will be supported, too.

1 - They can just re-allow it, no?
2 - Wait, did you just import maps from Crysis Wars? It makes sense that it didn't work.(Different map format?)
2 - Maybe high quality maps will be added to the in-game shop as DLCs of sorts, downloadable for 0.00$ and added to the map rotations of official servers. Other maps will work as you suggested.
