Modding Laser Musets

Is there a requirement to mod Laser Muskets?

They don't even appear for me among my modable weapons.

They can be moded, one mod is to increase the number of turns you do, this increase damage a lot.

I know they can be modded, but while all my weapons show up on the weapons crafter laser muskets sadly don't. :(

Laser rifles and pistols show up, only muskets don't I have no clue why.

I believe you need the science! perk to start modding energy weapons.

That's what I thought too, but even Science rank 2 doesn't let mem mod it. :(
